Never called me back but took all my info so very suspicious , I will never give info out over the phone, put a block on my credit

I was recommended to this company for business insurance and i talked to them and when it came down to paying for the down payment for the insurance. They told me they got an error and they were having some IT problems and i could make the payment one of 3 ways (ZELLE, VENMO, OR BANK TRANSFER). So i went to CHASE bank and talk to the bank teller and told them what i needed and had going on and the bank teller advised me not to do it for the simple fact they gave me a personal account number to a Marvin Mendoza which is the alleged CFO. Then the bank teller looked up COASTAL INSURANCE and he informed me that they did not have a business account with them and that they had a auto loan with them and that it was just a personal account as well. As the week went on they tried to hit 2 of my accounts that i tried to make the down payment with. They got my wife's account for 50 dollars on a website named MOBOREADER TECHNOLOGY right before she was able to lock her account down and i luckily locked my account down before they tried to hit it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND THEY PROBABLY WILL GIVE YOU A REALLY GOOD DEAL ON SOME INSURANCE AND TELL YOU HAVE INSURANCE BUT YOU WONT HAVE IT. THIS IS A FRAUD COMPANY!!!!!!!!

Called to talk to an agent and based on my last name - determined who I talk or in my case could NOT talk to. Very unprofessional and not a good fit for me - I can see why they have less than 5 stars
Owners should be aware their staff alienates potential customers from the 1st call. Must be more professional agents in Brunswick County, I’m sure I’ll find them eventually

I had homeowners insurance brokered by this company. I did not get a bill for renewal either from the insurance company or Coastal who brokered the policy. Neither did I get a notice of cancellation of the policy when the premium went unpaid. As a result, my policy lapsed and I am having to pay a lot more for a new policy and the deductible is much higher. In talking with the broker about what may have happened, she told me that the bill had been sent to a different address than the address it was sent to for the two prior years and the email from the insurance agency to the broker was sent to an email address of a person who no longer worked at the agency. I never received any notice of any kind that the premium was due nor a notice of cancellation for the insurance or the broker. When I told the broker how unacceptable this was (and in a very calm manner) she remained silent. Never was I offered an apology nor any regret. I was just sent quotes on new policies, the premiums of which were outrageous due to the lapse. I told the broker that I took some responsibility for not having this flagged on my calendar but that I always pay my bills when they arrive and I always pay on time. The broker never called me as we were discussing a new policy but she did take my calls. I understand that mistakes happen and I suppose we can blame the USPS and COVID on this error. But ... no apology? No taking responsibility for not having a system to remind clients that premiums are due? Really? Needles to say, I will not use them again. And I am somewhat suspicious of the explanation I was given for not getting the bill nor the notice of cancellation but I have no real way of knowing what actually happened.

*VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!*
My husband went to the office on Monday before noon and spoke with Debbie about a quote on insurance/worker's compensation for his business. She told him she would get back to him with a quote the following day. She calls him back today (Tuesday) at 3pm and tells him that she couldn't get a quote together because she "forgot that she had training the next two days" and that she could give him a quote "next week". He explained to her that this was an inconvenience and while he was trying to speak with her she cut him off mid-sentence and said "Ok, thank you sir. Have a nice day" AND HUNG UP ON HIM. We were floored.
Do not use this agency unless you want to be told one thing but have it not followed through. Not to mention dealing with an agent(s) who clearly don't care who's business they lose.

Location is GREAT! Service is GREAT! But the convenience of being able to pay in the office....need some tweaking. Customers SHOULD NOT be charged a fee if they opt to make payments in the office!!
