Shady business practices and lack of communication during application process. I sent this company an application fee and put in my application for a place I was hoping to rent only to be ignored and forced to call the office multiple times to get any sort of communication about my pending application. It has been 2 months and have not received anything, email or phone call to update me on the status of my application. They stole my money and have been doing nothing. I have never left a review for a place but felt the need when all I hope to do is save anyone who wishes to do business with this POS company. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

I have experienced rude before but on every single call the receptionist has been rude and does not help with any concerned.

I revived an email stating I’m being evicted after they sent a rent increase notice to the wrong address. I didn’t even know about this until I received an email months later when all correspondence have been through email but magically they sent this letter to where ever.

I responded to their emails with proof of address (power bill) and asked to speak to someone to help resolve this and they stopped responding. Then every time I call I’m sent to Chuck or Brent’s voicemail which is full. Then when calling back they magically send all calls to voicemail and never call back.

if you are experiencing issues like this contact NC state housing authority and make sure it is the .org site and register any and all complaints. You have power and help when it comes to companies treating you unfairly and document every attempt to contact and results. If you are in my situation take this to court also because you have a right to be treated fairly. These companies rely on our ignorance and our lack of knowledge of who to contact for help, but research your resources. Also reach out to the BBB

To anyone thinking of renting read all the complaints and make your own judgement but know you have been warned or how you will be treated

If I could do negative stars I would. The woman that answers the phone is completely rude to anyone. When my application was denied I asked why. She sent me to resolve partners. I had another viewing tomorrow for another home, and I told her that I guess I will have to cancel and she said well I guess you’re gonna have to. Very rude on people trying to get a home for their children. This is why I don’t like any realty company at all. They think they are above everyone that is applying. I would love to know their cooperate number! They are some sad people at that office!

Would never recommend renting from this company. Stay far away, properties are in disrepair and are barely livable conditions, requirements are absurd even if you have a great credit score and are financially stable, to top things off they are short and snippy on the phone with you and the individual who showed us the property we were interested in couldn't even answer basic questions. They just want your money and for you to not ask any questions.

[New Review After a Year]
So It has been a little over a year with Capstone. I am moving out to be closer with family but let me tell you about my experience now. I am keeping the 5 stars. 10/10. I understand everybody has different experiences but as for me It was great, It was non strassful and its pretty straight forward. Make payments on time, Take care of the Property and that is simply it. They don't bug you they don't harrass you, and everytime i put in a work order, it was fixed. Just be a good tenant and they will be a good rental company. All the people giving bad reviews are people who didnt hold up their end of the agreement and expected a free pass then complained when they didnt get it. Yeah some of the houses are rough around the edges but the price makes up for it. Thank you Capstone for a easy and stress free living situation. If I could, I'd still rent with you guys. Thank you again.

I just put in my Application for a farm house. The owner of Capstone Chuck was actually the one who showed it to me. Yeah its not a beautiful mansion but it's livable from my perspective. It's a farm house after all. Also I am allergic to bees and they were everywhere, Chuck took a board and smacked them things dead right then and there.
I see the bad reviews but I took the chance and put the application in anyways. Chuck seemed like a genuine guy just trying to run a business. The ladies on the phone have never hurt my feelings lol. I guess I am not the sensitive type though.
I am running into my 4th day waiting to see if I am approved or not so hopefully that comes soon. But Chuck said we were what they were looking for. If anything bad comes out of all this from Capstone then i will post my experience here.
So far though, Capstone is alright by my family. We will see.

The staff in this company are rude!! I had a bad feeling about giving my money, for an application fee, because i felt discriminated against from the beginning! The have no sense of urgency, to help you. I could not get in the property, because of my phone. They did not want to show me the property and informed me if they did, it would be two weeks from that day. After paying my money for an app, and needing a place! So unprofessional. I finally got in the property, they did not contact me until weeks after and after I called several time to check on the app. I was MORE than qualified for the unit, and put the app in, not even 4 hours after posted. I feel like it was discrimination!!! She finally left a message, saying the owner choose someone else with not explanation on why. They had several properties available, that would accommodate my family. NOT ONCE did they say, we have more you could look at, just your application will be on file for 90 days, while speaking to me as if they were better!!!! HORRIBLE experience!! wish I had looked at reviews first.
