I have the highest respect for Steve Hopkins. He recently helped me purchase a home in San Luis and the transaction was flawless. From the beginning, Steve understood the type of house that I wanted. He was proactive in showing me homes and getting me oriented to the different neighborhoods to consider. Once I saw the house pop up on MLS, he bent over backwards to get me in to see it quickly, to put an offer in (while he was on vacation, no less!) and then managed a 30 day close with a slightly complicated seller’s situation flawlessly. He is responsive, detail-oriented, had a cadre of fantastic craftspeople to refer me to for repairs, is patient, optimistic, enthusiastic but never pushy, and ethical. He was so thorough, which was especially helpful as the home I purchased was older and needed some repairs. One thing to note: Steve’s reputation as an honest broker served me well during my home buying process because two seller’s agents wanted to work with Steve because of his sterling reputation. This is priceless in a competitive market with low inventory. Steve has helped others I know with real estate transactions, but this was my first time using him. I would, without reservation, recommend Steve for either a buyer’s or a seller’s transaction.
