Worst of the worst landlords. I’ve left positive reviews for companies like mcbride that will treat you very well, NEVER live with Boardwalk. They admitted that I moved into a unit that flooded, and I’ve captured photos of mold in my utility closet in case they took my security deposit after confrontation, they did! I wish I got photos of the mice living in the building as well, they ignored that maintenance request of mine. Finally, Alec has a gnarly napoleon complex and won’t confront you in person when asked to explain his behavior towards service animals. I’ll be waiting for the rest of my check boardwalk.

They have a great management team and are always there to help! The buildings are clean and well maintained. Maintenance requests are quickly taken care of which is hard to find from other landlords in Madison! I would recommend renting from Boardwalk, if you’re looking for a place in Madison

Artan was extremely helpful with our housing search, and we have been very pleased with how friendly the office staff has been to us as tenants, especially Artan and Kimberly! I would recommend working with them to anyone looking for housing in Madison.

We moved our son to one of Boardwalk's Mifflin Street houses. After hearing horror stories of other students moving into Mifflin houses, I was expecting the worst and we brought an arsenal of cleaning supplies. I was so pleasantly surprised by the condition and cleanliness of the house when we got there. It is definitely an older home used as student housing, but everything was very clean and and in good condition. It was ready for move in. I was even impressed by the condition of the bathroom. It was very clean and it had updated fixtures and nice tile work. We met the property manager who stopped in to fix something in the upstairs apartment and he was very friendly and helpful. The boys are off to a great start in their Boardwalk house!

The management of this company has zero common sense. We had a 12 month lease which we elected to terminate without cause at the beginning of the 10th month. We informed management we would be vacating the apartment and would pay out the remaining lease $ due. The management refused to perform our final move out inspection and insisted they would only do so at the end of the lease term. Under Wisconsin law, they not only have the obligation to assume control of the apartment but also make efforts to re-rent the unit. I personally do not recommend dealing with this type of petty zero common sense mentality. Addendum- perhaps after realizing we would not back down, management agreed to close out our lease and perform apartment inspection as should have been done when we surrendered the unit to the control and possession of management.

My three roommates and myself have had a great experience at City View so far this year and have decided to re-sign for next near. My roommates and I pay rent comparable or less than the 'going rate' of the area, despite having a much better view and nicer apartment. The maintenance crew has been very responsive and has made significant repairs no-questions asked on a number of occasions. I have recommended other friends to rent with Boardwalk and would recommend their properties to strangers as well.

I have been a tenant for 10 years at Yellowstone Salons. I can’t rave enough about the excellent customer service Boardwalk Investments has provided consistently through the years. They have managed the building I lease from with great care, kept it always clean and modern looking. They have also demonstrated tremendous professionalism towards tenants and have resolved any building issues in a timely fashion. If you are looking for reliability, security, and dependability you will not be disappointed working with Boardwalk Investments.
