If I could give 0 stars I would. One of the Realtors and that branch, Jessica Vinnici, is the reason for my rating. My husband and I hired her for the sale of our condo and the purchase of a new house. She insists you use her friends as the vendors for everything including the inspection.

On the purchase, she insisted we use her preferred inspector and he missed several code and safety violations that he should have seen. We had an old furnace and AC that he called out but did not photo of anything inside. Nor, did he acknowledge wires that were visible on the outside AC unit. During the inspections, Jessica was not with the inspector rather was just opening kitchen drawers. During the final walk, she was more obsessed with us getting the key than double-checking anything.

When we were doing the financing she continuously pushed us to get a bridge loan for our condo sale despite us expressing that we were uncomfortable, not to mention she had no idea how the bridge loan worked. We ended up switching our loan to FHA so that we could close on time and not rush to sell our condo. We found out from the loan officer that he offered that as the best option when he spoke to her when the process started and without talking to us she pushed for conventional to get a higher commission rate. Had she spoken to use about that option in the beginning that would have saved a lot of stress and aggravation. when we had to do FHA repairs she couldn't be bothered to come and check in. Everything was a hasty movement with her she never stopped to listen to our concerns.

On the sale, she guaranteed us she could sell our condo for $30-$40k more than the asking price. However, when we were not getting bites she then said we priced it too high and that we should reduce the price. We ended up selling for $15k less than the asking price. In the sale the buyer asked for additional credits and when we said no she continued to push despite the fact that we could see it was a bluff tactic from the buyer. None of her actions were in our best interest.

We wanted to put this review so that people are wise before they go with her as a realtor. Based on her interfering with the loan not speaking to us and guaranteeing a sale amount we didn't get she should lose her license. We have reported this the the Illinios Realtor Association and the National Realtors Association and we hope that BHGRE will take action as well so that no one else has to be conned by her.

I would give 10+ stars!!! Extraordinary experience! Can't say enough. Jim is absolutely a pleasure to work with. Amazing customer service by Jim and his team. Starting from day 1 Jim planned every single detail very well and guided us patiently through the selling process. Jim is very prompt in responding which kept us at ease as we were fully aware of the selling progress of our property. His team provided us with clear direction every step of the way from open houses to closing of the house. Key thing to be noted is my family has moved to Florida earlier than planned and this was made possible by Jim's proactive effort in selling our house quickly. First time we met Jim, he promised us he would sell our house in 45 days. He kept his promise and got the house sold in 4 weeks. I am extremely impressed by how well Jim and his team treated us as their customers and happy we choose Jim as our agent for selling our home. I would recommend Jim and Better Homes and Gardens to anyone who expects the best customer service in either buying or selling their home.

We tried to sell our house through BH&G, after a few months we decided that the market was too expensive and too few houses were available. At that time, we decided to take our house off the market. That was more than a month ago. Today we got a bill in the mail from BHGRE Star Homes for $2,250 for Listing, Marketing for the Open House, even for installing a sign in the yard and several other items. Up until this point, we were going to work with them again in a year or two after doing some upgrades on our house and saving some more money. Not anymore.
