Jerry Melvin did a great job selling our neighbors house, so we knew that we needed to call him when we were ready to sell. We called Jerry last year and set up an appointment to meet with him. Within a week he had listed the house and had implemented great marketing techniques. We were in contract with a buyer the next week. We recommend Jerry Melvin to everyone we talk to. Jerry is an EXCELLENT realtor. He is very knowledgeable about the housing market including new builds and existing homes. My husband and I never had a problem contacting Jerry and if we had to leave a message he called back within hours, often apologizing that it took him so long! 🙂
Jerry took the time to answer all of our questions and explained the buying process in detail. When he would show us homes, he was able to point out structural and cosmetic issues to think about. Jerry is well educated with structural aspects of a home. During our appointments, he took his time and we didn’t feel rushed at all during our visits to see homes. He was even there to help us through the tough lending process, checking and double checking to make sure things were being completed in a timely manner by the lender. We felt Jerry was very personable, yet professional and we would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to buy a home.

We moved to Columbus about 18 months ago. Not knowing a lot about the Columbus area, we were unsure of where exactly we wanted to live. Jerry drove us around three different locations. He had a lot of patience and shared a lot of information about positives and negatives of each area without influencing us with his personal opinions. He also pointed out positives and negatives of each house we looked at. This was helpful because he pointed out things I hadn't noticed, or wouldn't have thought to look at.
Jerry is a relocation specialist and has kids of his own, so the fact that I looked at houses for three straight days with three kids in tow didn't bother him a bit.
Ultimately, we decided to build. Jerry used to be in the construction business and knows a lot about the structure of houses. He routinely visited the construction site. This was invaluable to us because we were living out of town while our house was being built.
While negotiating with our builder, it was great to have Jerry on our side. He not only helped us during the initial negotiations, but also while putting upgrades in our home. He was there during walk throughs with the builder, and was there while choosing where to put electrical outlets and lighting fixtures. Since he has a construction background, he had great ideas to help ensure we were making good decisions.
When I hear of someone looking for a realtor, I always tell them how great Jerry was and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. My husband and I have used several different realtors over the years and Jerry was, by far, the best!

Brandt is a excellent realtor. He is a genuine guy who applies your likes and dislikes to the houses he presents you. He helped us place several offers and was always present at showings. We decided to go the new build route and he helped guide us through the process. Again, he was present at every meeting, even ones I didn't expect him to attend. He was always able to answer questions and always followed up with his promises. I consider Brandt a friend and he is there to help you through this process. If you need a realtor, I highly recommend Brandy because he will go to bat for you.

Jerry is an outstanding realtor, knowledgeable about all aspects including contracts, construction/roofing/drainage/...etc. and is very patient and attentive to the needs and wishes of the client - I highly recommended.
