Great service when Bennett set up my policy…unfortunately that’s where it ended. My motorcycle policy expired in Jan, and for some reason I didn’t get a notice. Bennett was sure to notify the state that the policy lapsed. I had to pay$50 as a result. When I got the notice from the state I called Bennett and his only response was “sorry that happened”. I owned my part for not setting up Auto renewal, but felt that he could made an effort to call and check, since I still had an auto policy with him. So much for small town service & courtesy! That was enough for me to change agents and one quick call I had a new policy and cheaper rate for both cycle and auto. I canceled my auto and moved on.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Fast forward 8 months and I receive another notice from the state saying State Farm notified them that my auto policy expired at the end of August, even though I got a new policy, canceled and received a refund from Bennett in March. Now I had to scramble make sure the state had my new insurance on file, which they did, but Bennett’s State Farm notice to the state caused confusion and they sent me the letter.
Insurance is never fun, but this was one of my worst experiences!
