Mark did a good job on giving my wife her epidural and was very cool about everything. Thanks Mark! And thank you to all the nurses and doctors that help to give people a better life!

As many others have apparently shared the same struggle as I did this hospital has all the latest tech and updated appearance it still lacks in professionalism when it comes to most of the Dr's and staff. Our experience has been frustrating. My wife needed surgery and it was refused due to no insurance which we are in the middle of fighting medicaid with. For 4 months she has been in pain and has been throwing up everyday and the only thing they would do is do ultrasounds and prescribe medicine and voicing to us she needs to have surgery Dr Brad Shultz was the worst of these Drs in the ER very unprofessional and cut her medicine down to the minimum which didnt even help her nausea at all let alone nothing for pain we actually voiced to staff we refused to be seen by him. Dr MARK WEST on the other hand was the best of these in the ER as far as professionalism he gave her medicine that actually helped and made an effort to find a surgeon to remove her gall bladder. Thank you Dr West. That being said on our way to a funeral in Iowa we made it to Bolivar where a staff helped us immediately not concerned about insurance but for the care my wife needed. The general surgeon there successfully did the surgery without hesitation and without any problems. He was very kind and only concerned about her well-being. The staff helped us with financial assistance regardless of insurance or not. Thank you. BAXTER HOSPITAL SHOULD BE MORE LIKE CMH AND NOT WORRIED ABOUT MONEY BUT THE HEALTH OF THEIR PATIENTS!!

Every time we have had to visit the hospital in Mountain Home, we have had very good care. The nurses were very attentive and did their best to make you comfortable and supply what you need. Doctors and Staff was very caring and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend the services in the emergency room as they have always been quick to get you in and give the care needed. Unlike others I have been to.

If I could give it 0-stars, I would. Since last year, Baxter hospital has gone down hill. The nurses are all new and not trained properly. They lack basic caring and nursing skills needed to make their patients comfortable and safe. They dropped things so many times. They take their time to get to a patient.

One nurse even rolled her eyes at my family member. That was totally unprofessional of her!!! They would run out of the hospital room faster than lightening but getting them to get in there to help takes hours. They say one thing and as a patient you have to keep badgering them about hey, I need this, or I'm running out of...or I need help going to the bathroom.

Baxter keeps you, the patient, waiting until they feel like taking care of you. Their nurses keep you waiting until the last minute. The nurses can't keep up, or they don't communicate with the other nurses well. 🙄 It was a major pain in the a$$. We would ask a nurse, she'd say yes, okay be right there. Then, she disappeared and another nurse comes in and we would ask her. Oh, I'll go get it. And then, another nurse.

It takes about 4 nurses before someone does their job. When they do their job, they drop things, or don't have the right tools, or roll their eyes, or don't check on you to see if something else needs attention. If you don't tell them what's going on with you, they won't check. They run out and don't care.

My family member dealt with heart and other serious issues. It wasn't until we got home, he noticed something they never checked.

Baxter Health (Baxter hospital) is imcompetent, unreliable, and hires the worst staff. No staff member should give attitude to patients. No staff should talk badly about a patient either.

Sadly, it's the only hospital in town. Why did Baxter fall from being great to being the worst? Baxter hospital is more worried about being renovated and being fancy than about the care it's supposed to provide for its patients. Patients are customers.

Baxter gets an F+++ for failure of hospitality, customer service, nursing skills, nursing staff, lack of communication, lack of trained staff, and more.

Do not go to Baxter hospital ever! Do not use their services! Be warned.

*The crappiest service. Do not get me started about their discharge service either! That's another story!*

I would rather die at home then trust my life to this hospital! I have been labeled a drug addict from this hospital that just couldn't provide proper health care! I have chiari malformation along will a lot of other illnesses. I was born with this but instead of providing help and medical care they would rather label the chronic ill and people with rare diseases as drug addicts instead of honestly trying to help someone that is suffering due to this hospital I will no longer take any form of pharmaceuticals out of fear instilled in me from this hospital! Yes I have gone through my complete medical history from this hospital to be taking to a lawyer showing negligence putting my life at risk. We have to be the voice to put a end to medical gas lighting and trauma they inflict on amazing people that just like everyone else just want the answers to what is wrong with us and how to prolong our lives!!!!

Awful & almost evil service, some Nurses can be helpful & caring but Doctors are not urgent or worried about saving or helping patients. Had several relatives die here when they could have otherwise been sent somewhere else & been saved. Do not send a relative here for serious medical issues if you care about them.

This place is actually horrid. they dont have ANY time management. My partner went in today due to having BREATHING ISSUES. she could not breathe, chest pains, dizziness, ect. and she was stuck in the waiting room of the ER for 2 HOURS. so many people who were there an hour after her were taken back. its horrifying how little they seem to care. Even though it wasnt a matter of life or death it makes me scared for the ppl who are in a life or death situation. drive the hour to harrison smh

My mom had horrible care in ICU on night shift on4/17/25.the charge nurse was rude and disrespectful to my dying mother. The charge nurse came in and gave me a nasty look and said my mother needed to be moved to the 3rd floor,I asked her why,she would just repeat herself that she needed to be moved.after the 4th time I asked her do you need the bed she said yes, flatly. I told her my mom was in pain and dying and she said" Well, this young lady looks perfectly comfortable". My mom was 85. Then she said well she doesn't need the equipment anymore. She also said if I get in her way she would call security which she did. Then she lied in front of security which really upset me,so I pointed at her and asked the security "do you know that she said my dying 85 year old mother, referred her to as a young lady that looked perfectly comfortable to me,they yelled at me to put my hand down like I was going to hit her, which is ridiculous,it looked nothing like that. I was so frustrated that I burst into tears and ran out of the hospital. This charge nurse should be fired, she was spiteful, nasty and totally lacked compassion. I believe she was retaliating against my mom and her family because the previous night my mom was acting up. My mom was scared and had dementia. If you can't do your job compassionately you need to find another job. My mom died 2 days later. I hope that this nurse has a better nurse for her loved one if or when she has this situation in her life.
