The key is OUR success has been the communication that we have established with Aaron and his team. It’s a total team effort – teaching, listening, debating, and understanding that allows US the opportunity to find innovative ways to accomplish our goals.

I started my search for a long term financial partner after relocating to Louisville in 2007 and knowing that I would be retiring in 15-20 years – which I did in ’21. As part of my search, I focused on (5) areas of focus – Financial results/returns performance, Financial Instrument Portfolio, Tools for tracking/visibility, Partnership with leadership in developing short and long term goals, and just as important the ability to communicate with my family to have a clear and high level understanding of where OUR portfolio is today and where we plan to be long term.

Using these (5) criteria's, I selected Aaron Young and this team around ’10-time frame. From day one Aaron and his team have met or exceed expectation in all 5 areas of focus over the course of our 12+ years relationship/partnership. To accomplish these expectations requires participation from all parties including myself and my family. This includes populating the tools manually if necessary, holding to and being prepared to meet with Aaron and his team quarterly, having your family involved by meeting with Aaron and his team on a semi-annual basis and lastly creating/documenting action items to be tracked and completed. This way everyone is participating and being held accountable to ensure that my family and I have the best chance to meet/exceed the short and long term goals that WE have set out to achieve.
