We LOVE Bill! A friend recommended him to us a few years ago after we had horrible experiences with H&R Block. Bill knows his stuff and he doesn't make us feel silly for asking basic OR nuanced questions. He's fun, professional, kind and helpful beyond belief! For years Mr. Dermer provided us with excellent service. However, one year he let us down. A mistake was made with our 2013 income tax. Mr. Dermer gave us the proper papers to complete our return and correct the error but the information he provided us was incorrect. While we were trying to correct the problem with the IRS, a much bigger problem surfaced with our 2012 income tax return. I called, emailed, and even went by the office several times to get help from Mr. Dermer but I was unable to talk to him or anyone else. I left countless voice messages. They were never returned. Finally, with the help of a very nice IRS agent in Mesa, we worked our way out of the problem. The IRS agent told us the problem was very convoluted and confusing. Sadly, we had to pay close to $20,000 dollars in fees and interest. Again we attempted to contact Mr. Dermer and again he ignored us.

As I stated earlier, Mr. Dermer was a great accountant for us for many years, but when we needed him, he made sure he was unavailable. For this reason, I can no longer recommend Eric Dermer as an accountant.
