Honestly the WORST insurance I’ve ever had to deal with. They take months just to even get someone to look at your car and then when you take it in to get it fixed they delay confirming what they’ll pay for and won’t pay for all the damage. And they also don’t even want to pay for the rental for more than 2 days when my car has been in the shop for over 2 weeks now. I cannot say this enough but this is the worst insurance company I’ve ever had to deal with. And not to mention the customer service! They are rude and no help whatsoever. I had dashcam evidence of them hitting my vehicle and they still denied fault

Avoid this homeowners insurance at all costs. I had a t-pipe break under my home and it caused damage to my bathroom floor. They sent out an inspector to look. He went under my home seen that a pipe had broke, he said yes you have damage. I replaced all the plumbing under my home, waited 20 some days with no contact from my adjuster, until today. My claim has been closed and it states my wax ring from the toilet caused the damage. Are you kidding me! Believe me I am looking for new insurance today!

Been with this company since July of 2012, the claims adjuster has taken 5 weeks and has done absolutely nothing, and is out on vacation this week! Our house had a fire and thankfully is still livable but after this is over. I will be switching!!

I understand everyone needs a vacation but dang. Make sure your stuff is taken care of!!

Had a great experience submitting a claim on the house. The person handling the claim made everything a simple step by step process. Was a little bit of a wait to hear back, but was worth the wait for good news!

This is by far the worst insurance company to deal with. First people, please know what you’re getting into before signing the dotted line. I was dropped by Allstate because of the claims (not my fault) but apparently too many so I was given to American Modern Insurance group. Absolutely no coverage. Just able to check “yes” if ever asked, if I have insurance . I really needed help with a flood underneath my house.
I do thank God for the experience because I have truly learned a valuable lesson. I pray no one ever has to go through what I have had to go through dealing with this company. Muni, my adjuster, was rude and dismissive.
Totally looking forward to another Home Owners insurance company.

American modern Has a very poor accounting system. They sent me a notice of renewal on 29 April. I paid them on 3 March. Payment wasn’t due until the eighth. They emailed on the 11th confirmation of payment. Two weeks later they send me a cancellation notice lack of payment. They want an additional charge to renew. I just canceled the policy.

We had American Modern for around ten years and never had a claim. Imagine our surprise when we received our policy renewal notice in November and found the cost of the same exact policy had quadrupled because of where we live and without taking into consideration the fact we have made our home pretty much fire safe as attested to by the Fire Marshal. AMIG definitely DOES NOT have integrity. We did contact the company twice but was told there was nothing they could or would do each time. A truly reprehensible outfit!

This insurance company is ridiculous! They advised that because my roof was so old as to why the cost of my insurance policy was so high. So I am getting a new roof and they now advise it won't change the premium and not to mention they only are paying ACV on the home, be careful of this insurance company!
