STAY AWAY FROM THEM! VERY DISHONEST! We've been filling our taxes with Christian Navarrete Luna since 2018 - 2019. First was in person, all great. We moved to Texas almost 3 years ago and continued on using him. We would send all our docs, he 'd process everything, jump on a video call, and explain everything so we could catch things that are missing or need change. This time around they asked for payment ahead of time, first red flag, I went ahead and paid just because we worked together before and thought (big mistake) everything would be the same as previous years. Well, NOT REALLY! After asking about my tax preparation multiple times - way past the 7 days, he mentioned via text - he proceeded to send everything, ask for us to review it and sign or let him know if anything needed changes. I requested the phone call we always got, so he can explain. He denied jumping on a call and asked us to use the system to msg him. How am I to review or change something I don't understand, Mr. Navarrete? If that was the case, I'd save myself the $800+ you charged and use Turbo tax. If we paid you, it's because our taxes are a bit complicated (W2, 1099, investments), and we don't really know all the ins and out of it. I made an appt with Jackson Hewitt and the first they asked was for the Stock Transaction Suplemental which he never mentioned, and guess what? That's needed and makes a big difference in the result. No need to say we're asking for a reimbursement since we ended up not using Aldea Tax Service to file, but Mr Navarrete declined ANY reimbursement and blame it on us for not adding all documentation.
