My financial adviser at Affluencer Financial Advisor is Sam Rad, who I met when taking his classes about Social Security and Retirement advice. In addition to being a financial adviser, he also offers classes at UCLA and West L.A. College. I had been so impressed with his teaching style, offering material that was both informative and very useful, yet he made it fun and interesting. When I decided to become his client, he considered my personal situation and gave me ideas that fit with my finances and goals that were achievable. He was honest about my situation, telling me what I needed to do to eliminate debt and save for the future, requiring both discipline and patience. His firm espouses their fiduciary duty to make their clients' welfare their primary goal. They have a flat annual fee, and they do not try to sell stocks and bonds with the sole goal of making commissions, but to the detriment of their clients. Sam Rad measures his success by how successful his clients are, and he gives the same amount of attention and care, regardless of how much personal assets his client has. I have always felt very comfortable and confident having him as my adviser and can highly recommend him to anyone who seeks an honest and caring individual who places his clients' welfare as his primary duty.

Good financial advice that makes sense! The guys at this firm really know how to handle anything financial. I met with them over 5 times and cannot tell you how much progress I have made in my retirement plan. I’m only 41 years old. Have less than 200k in savings. And won’t be retiring for a long, long time. In another words, I am not the type of client that Sam or his team would take on. He deals with older folks closer to retirement.

But that didn’t stop Sam from spending over an hour of his time, thoughtfully and caringly dispensing financial advise on any question or worry I might have had. And when I ran out of questions, he raised a few of his own. Things I had never even thought about (but should have).

He helped me figure out if it was worth it to buy a property in LA. If we should sell my condo in Chicago. And most importantly, he helped me create a financial plan for the near future. Sam made sure I understood the need for a CPA, encouraged me to get my estate in order, and offered to look at my current life insurance policy to make sure I was getting the right plan.

He had nothing to gain by spending this much time with me, but he gave it his all. And after we parted ways, he followed up with me to see if i had anoy other questions and let me know i could email him in the future. I never expected a financial planner to care about anything buy finances, but Sam clearly did.

So while i may have left the office without a financial planner, I definitely left with a financial plan and a little more faith in humanity.
