My dad made the mistake of leaving my sister as executor after my mom passed. She then used Abbott, which means I was stuck with their services too. My parents did not have a large estate, at all. Abbott ended up charging over 23,000 to administer the estate. Absolutely ridiculous. I would have done things differently. Avoid this company.

My family CPA firm acquired by Abbott. What a wake up call. Fees doubled, sometimes more. Duplicate emails and calls to me and my bookkeeper to aquire information already submitted and of couse they billed out this duplicate time plus I'm paying my bookkeeper again. Fired me four weeks before tax filing leaving me scrambling
Appreciate I was too small for them and I complained of their increased fees and poor service to what former CPA of standing delivered. Like the vet market..the small firms with integrity being forced out. The good news is I've found another family CPA firm locally. While only 15 mins away, so far do all remotely

Inquired and explained my situation over the contact us page, "marketing manager" Sarah Hauge reached out back to me with a standard reply that my entry fee to even have an answer and have my case examined is 7,500 dollars. I suggest your firm trains your "marketing managers" a little better.

So happy to have found ASL. Especially Jillian. Unlike my 2 previous CPA firms, if I send an email, I always get an answer from ASL. Soon. Not 3 weeks later or never, as was the case with the other CPAs. Peace of mind. Can't thank them enough.
