I walked in last week around 4pm to register my out of state car. The receptionist asked if it was private party or dealer purchase and I let her know it was from a dealer. Even though they close at 6pm she told me it was too late and I need to make an appointment and come back. She made an appointment for me for today (Monday) and as I’m driving there (15min before my appointment), I receive a call, text and a voicemail saying my appointment is cancelled. I still went there and talked the same receptionist. Guess why they canceled my appointment last minute? Because it was raining outside. Seriously? You guys won’t melt in the rain for doing VIN verification which literally takes a few minutes. The best part is yet to come though. The receptionist had me sit down and called someone to work with me. The person she called told me they can’t do dealer purchased out of state registrations, only private party. You gotta be kidding me! Why did you guys not tell me this last week and wasted my time? Bunch of lazy and useless people…

Gave me a 2pm appointment and when I show up, their only agent is out on lunch. They even sent my text messages about my appointment. Why would they schedule an appointment during lunch? And the staff on site wouldn't even let me be first in line to see the agent when they returned.

The AAA membership alone is worth it even if you never use it just to use the AAA membership services for DMV. In and out in 20 minutes and I transferred three vehicles.

OMGOODNESS… I’m from Maui dealing with regeneration and title lost in fire last August 8th. My friend recommended AAA and I didn’t believe they could help me…. To my AMAZEMENT… Cindy and Allysa came to the RESCUE…! Yes, yes, yes is all I heard. Totally prepared and super knowledgeable… I breezed through the paperwork… ooops need signatures from YUBA CITY. Haha. So completely set up with easy instructions and paperwork, I roll for the weekend. Easy enough, came back to San Jose and same office… ALL is well. Always satisfied with my visits to the Los Gatos AAA & this time was no different. Alan was amazing in helping with my DMV transaction. I overheard him dealing with other customers while I was waiting for my turn and he was very friendly to everyone. This branch is lucky to have him!

Friendly staff, great location, DMV services are always quick and friendly. Building is a bit understaffed for work load at time so be prepared for a minimum weight

Called in before coming in to make sure I had all necessary information and signatures, only to be sent home and return to wait the line again. Totally understandable had I been given the correct information on the phone, but since I called first, not my favorite AAA experience. Edited: Thanks for your response AAA, in retrospect, this was more an issue with the phone support line (which I don't believe in branch linked, rather than the branch itself).
