Do not use Century 21 in Cabot for managing rental property. They do a fine job advertising and getting tenants but not so much in making sure the property is returned to you in the same condition. The churn rate of employees there is pretty bad so there is no continuity. They wanted me to pay for a garage door opener the previous tenant lost because they forgot to charge him for it. And now they want me to foot the bill to fix a vehicle fence gate that I didn't install. They say it adds value to the property so it's my responsibility. Also, I've had 3 tenants in 5 years break their leases which makes me question their background checks.

Completely unprofessional. My girlfriend had requested information on a house via email through their website, 3 days and one follow up email later I decide to go to the office and see if maybe there was some sort of technical malfunction and they had not received the emails. I walk in make eye contact with the receptionist who I assume is texting but it could have been candy crush for all I know. She doesn't stop this text to receive me as her title of receptionist would indicate it is her priority to do, she makes me stand there awkwardly while she finishes this text. We were the only two in the room it was a very long awkward silence while I tried to not lose my temper. Once she listened to my concern and interest in the property she explained to me that the property already had an accepted offer, a backup offer on it, that it had sold for more than listed and had huge foundation issues with it. That is the reason no one got back to us. WHY IS IT STILL LISTED THEN? WHY WASN'T THE FOUNDATION ISSUE IN THE LISTING? WHY IS THERE ABSOLUTELY NO COMMON COURTESY OF MY TIME IN JUST EMAILING US BACK TO SAY THE PROPERTY IS UNDER CONTRACT? This lack of customer service is grossly unprofessional.
