Overpriced for very basic, and simple returns.

Update: Not sure whose private information you just posted online, but its certainly not mine. I don't own two businesses, rental properties etc. Maybe you charged me as if I had those things, but I don't. I also never received any phone calls. That is either a lie, or you are mistaking me for someone else.

Did my taxes with this company for a few years. They don't do anything fancy and charge a premium. Last year it took them over a month to do my taxes. Nothing too complicated with my taxes. After 3 and half weeks I went in and asked for my w-2s and such so I could take my business elsewhere. They told me it would be $450 to get my documents back. I was shocked that they were going to charge me NOT to do my taxes. They told me it would be another week for them to complete my taxes. Begrudgingly I waited because it didn't make any sense not to. When I asked for a discount a week later after they took so long I was told no. Keeping clients does not seem important to them. Will never do business with them again and have told everyone I know to stay away.

I've been coming here for over 10yrs and it's always been fine until last year when they charged $800 for my return. I filed late and there was some extra work so I didn't complain. This year they charged me $1000! I was shocked - this is a similar return to what I have done every year and I just can't understand why it's gotten so expensive other than greed, therefore I will not be coming back.

I’m still in complete shock of what they charged me to do my taxes this year!! My total was $1,300+ and they gave me a 20% discount for filling out my organizer and having it ready at the first appointment. So it ended up being $1,096! I’ve been a client for years—they changed their fee structure without warning or informing past clients—said nothing during my first appointment and I signed my agreement like usual. It’s always been a flat fee of about $450 per return and now it’s just ‘whatever they feel like charging you based on how they feel’. Our tax return was not really complicated—both my husband and I work and we have no rental properties, no business anymore—(no business income this year)…just a pretty normal return. And they deemed my taxes so complicated it was $1300. (( I talked to other CPA/EA’s after this and all of them said it seemed higher than it should have been)) After they had done my taxes I saw the bill and was completely floored!! I was so shocked I could barely say anything. I managed to say “oh wait I thought you had a flat fee…she said “no we went with the Covid thing, prices are increasing and we were understaffed and the accountants we have charge a lot.” SHOULDN’T I HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE OF THAT (I didn’t say that cause I was in shock)—She said “oh well it looks like you paid $800 the last time.” I didn’t think to say it at the time but YES we did pay $800 when we filed 2 returns because we filed married but separately. They charged per return (or they did). And now it’s $1300 for one!! TRIPLE!! I was so livid!! And our total return is $2000 and they are taking HALF! They explained their price change at the very end, after they did the work and said “well we take credit card!” I contacted them after I paid because I was so upset. They asked what would make me happy. I told them I would do my due diligence and speak with other EA’s to see if what they charged was fair…all of them said it sounded high. So I came back and told them the amount I feel like I should be refunded. They said they felt the price was fair and wouldn’t return money based on my request but they would refund $250 for taking down my yelp review. I told them no because my review was honest and accurate and it’s what I believe. I believe it was unfair and at the end of the day they would not reimburse me at all (but they were willing to pay for my silence on my feelings). I see lots of reviews on here saying their prices are too high…and they are. If anything they should have reimbursed me for the fact I was not told their fee structure changed. Not good practice—you don’t do this to clients who have been there for years—you tell them.

Overpriced considering the nature of my tax return. When I amended my return, they did not disclose there would be an additional fee on top of what I already paid. I can somewhat understand the charge but the fact that they did not disclose it to me until the very end was reprehensible. They made no indication of it throughout the process. The only benefit of using this office was the welcoming staff but that's all.

This was my first time using this office for our tax preparation. My husband and I stumbled upon a booth for the office at the Queen Creek Holiday Festival and we were encouraged to schedule an appointment by one of the owners. Upon scheduling our appointment there was a small hiccup as I did have to call back and reschedule due to another obligation I had. The appointment did not get rescheduled correctly on their end, however I am fully aware that these things happen. I was incredibly pleased with how the office handled the situation and they were able to get us in even sooner than the appointment I thought we had. We were greeted by Ryan's friendly smile and cheerfully disposition. We did not wait long at all to be ushered into a private room to go over our tax needs and documentation. We were able to schedule a return appointment to pick up our taxes and there is no doubt in my mind that the return experience will be as pleasurable. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment at the Queen Creek office.

I have done my taxes here for the last 4yrs or so. I appreciate the express drop off and pick up. Super quick and easy. The front desk staff are very pleasant and I am always greeted with a smile. Same great experience every year!
