We tried to open a corporate account there. We supplied them with all the necessary information they wanted and it got sent to the people who handle the corporate accounts through email while we were at the bank. We were told that it would take three business days to get back to us. It has been six business days--no callback! I even called them on the third day and absolutely no help! We went to a different bank across the street and got it opened in ONE DAY! Credit Union 1 is very inefficient in my opinion. Someone dropped the ball.

I opened an account here when I first moved here. This is the worst credit union I have ever banked with. There is a fee for EVERYTHING, I was just charged a fee for transferring money TO MYSELF. That is the most ridiculous fee I have ever experienced. So glad I didn't transfer my deposits to them yet, I will be withdrawing everything and closing the account.

Jovani worked tirelessly to resolve my issue after the system change. He was so friendly and endlessly patient with an issue that took at least 30 mins to get to the bottom of. Excellent customer service. It still exists!

Piss poor customer service, open account came in twice with everything spent about 2 hours each time, told good to go. Get a letter in mail requesting info within 14 days or they close my account(after they took my money), walk in ask why never told about this before and dismissed by asst.man. nicci, call in a week later to get balance told on phone account password never set up so i cant get info cause i cant prove who i am, then told that my account was in threat to be closed cause the document requested(the one i hand walked in this location) then once called back the next day the asst man uploaded my document but never removed the alert to close my account so they had what they were asking for while threatening to close my account with MY money it. When i walk in this location for direct transactions, get the nasty petty looks from child-like adults looking for a problem. If you like to give people your money to treat you like garbage, this is the place.

Created an account for my son, account process took almost 2 hours. Was not informed about the proof of residency for my son, who needed mail sent from our home address. We use a PO Box, as a main mail address, they closed the account after one mail attempt to the PO Box. The customer service people were not sure on their own account procedures, with another long wait at the bank. They need to fix the new account process, the new residency requirements are fine but they are not implementing it well, they should of sent a proof of location to the actual location, not the PO Box. CU1 fix your process, please.

During my time with CU1 I have been charged for a loan that was fully paid, charged to setup autopay and charged full-term interest on a loan paid off early.

If you do not closely monitor your finances CU1 will rip you off. If you do closely monitor your finances, surely you can find a better option. If you’re young and naive don’t make the same mistake I did! Being a member owned credit union does not mean that they are looking for their members.

Not too enthused. I have been a customer for over 20 years, and to be treated with such disdain by the main branch manager is absurd. I will be moving all my accounts, personal and business asap. I'm pretty sure other local banks/ credit unions are going to see a large uptick in new customers leaving CU1.

Having been a member since this was the Teacher's Credit Union (many, many years ago), I have never had anything other than polite, pleasant, cheerful service. The Eagle River branch is especially easy to work with.
