Everything was normal seemed fine. Received my new bank card went to go activate it and the guy that answered the phone could barely understand or speak English and when I gave them all my information to activate my card he said it was all good to go so I asked what was my pin or how do I change it.. complete and utter confusion didn't understand what was going on told me I'd have to call the bank and there was nothing he could do. Friday night and I have to wait till Monday before I can access my money or pay rent I can't even use my account because whatever information he put in now is flagged in the system.

Whoever the girl is at extension 639 needs SERIOUS customer service training and needs to be evaluated.
Tried explaining a situation where a company passed through an automatic renewal I didn't authorize, the girl starts talking to me like I'm lying about something, "well obviously they had your account number at some point because they charged your account".
Yes, I have purchased a membership before, but I NEVER AUTHORIZED AUTOMATIC RENEWAL".
"Well sounds like that's between you and the company then".
They have terrible customer service, there has been times they'd answer the phone and hang right up, everything they do is so outdated, no tap to pay on debit cards, etc.
This use to be a great credit Union, but now it seems like it's ran by a bunch of people who don't care about you or what's going on with your account.

DO NOT GET AN AUTO LOAN WITH THIS COMPANY

(1) Star for being deceptive about services and not being able to be helpful with difficult situations.

I took an auto loan out with First California Federal Credit Union and agreed to pay a certain amount each month. I was sent a letter stating if I pay by phone, check, or online I would be charged a fee for paying my bill. I called their billing department and asked if I pay in person at a branch location would I be charged a fee. First California Federal Credit Union stated there is no fee when paying with cash or a with debit card in a branch location. So, I had made two payments since in a branch location with my debit card. The first time was in February and the second time was in March. I received a receipt both times for the agreed upon amount. I was reviewing my bank statement and saw that First California Federal Credit Union swiped my card two times creating a charge of 3 dollars and the usual monthly amount. I never received the receipt for 3 dollars or was notified that I was going to be charged a three-dollar fee. I was under the impression there would not be a fee since the billing department express there are no fees charged at a branch location when paying cash or using a debit card. I looked back at the first payment I made in February and there were also two charges one being the usual amount and a 3-dollar charge. This was done at the First California Federal Credit Union branch location at 2525 E Shields Ave, Fresno, CA 93726 with the tellers. Three dollars doesn't sound like a lot but that is not the point. I agree to pay certain amount of money back with interest so the loan company can make money. I don't feel it is right that they charge fees on top of fees to make more money when they are already making money from the interest on the loan I'm paying on time and matter of fact paying the monthly payments early. If anyone else is having problems with this company file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). They do put a lot of weight on the company to fix these things and will get noticed for their bad business practices.

Avoid this bank at all cost. I took out a car loan with them an in order to pay my bill I have to pay a $10 fee every-time
to pay over the phone. They do not allow online payments or any other form of convenient payment. A completely idiotic way to run a bank. its 2023 catch up.

This bank is nothing but a thief. This bank and branch charged our 83yr old relative $2,511.00. in overdraft fees this last year. This is a disgusting and horrible way to do business that NO-ONE should support. Withdraw your account and certainly do not EVER do business here. We are contacting adult protective services to see if their banking practices violated state and federal laws which protect the elderly.

I am extremely disappointed with this bank. Ever since I have opened an account with them in 2014 they have caused me nothing but trouble. I have only banked with them because my car loan was through them. They do not do ANYTHING that you ask them to do. They were supposed to send my statement of facts to change my last name on my car registration to the DMV, NEVER DID IT. I said whatever and just went ahead and paid off my loan with them. I specifically asked them to have the title mailed to them and I would pick it up there. A month later I find out they received it and mailed it off. I NEVER RECEIVED IT! Do they care ? NO. Do not bank here!
