Wife and I needed our 2023 Taxes prepared. We explained our situation precisely to the owner, renee. Several days later, we were called to come in and sign our returns. We saw her associate, at the door, this is where you sign she said. We were handed a packet that contained another couples personal and Financial information. We didn’t discover it until the next day. We also discovered my retire. Navy pay was not included, and neither were my estimated payments. I called Renee, told her about the other peoples personal information. There was no urgency at all in her voice she just said bring it back up. When I told her about my information, she said, “you didn’t provide it”. We knew better, but I did not argue with her. I drove back up and handed her my information at the door. I came home and My wife said “Joe you’re not gonna believe this, Here’s somebody else’s tax returns”. I looked, and this man’s Financial life was in my hands. Social Security number, phone number, address, date of birth, where he worked how much he made you name it I had it. The next morning Renee called me before I had a chance to call her and told me my taxes were ready once again. Again, she tried to blame it on me. I somehow forgot to tell her that I was retired Navy, and I forgot to tell her that I paid estimated taxes, etc.. Anyway, I told her about having somebody else’s taxes, and she says, with no Urgency in her voice, “Let me guess, Linda Whomever” (I forget the name). Anyway, I said not her It is Mr. E.M. She said well I have a lot of taxes all over my desk. It’s easy to pick up something and walk out with it. I had the feeling she was trying to accuse me of picking up the taxes and walking out of her office with them and I had to remind her that I never made it past her front door. Her associate handed me my package that contained personal and financial information of three different people besides me and My wife. She became very offended. And said well, you can just bring it back to me. And then she asked me a question and before I had a chance to answer her question, she says Mr. McDonald I’m not arguing with you, as if I was arguing with her it made absolutely no sense. I told her I’m not arguing with you either Renee, it sounds like you’re very offended because you or your people handed me other peoples financial information. I’ll bring it back. that’ll be fine she said . I went back and got it and handed her the information she handed me only the things I brought to her and said your check is in with your information, and I will not be filing your tax information. I thanked her, and departed, never to return! Beware, you’ve been warned!!
