I just moved here from Florida with my little sister and my two daughters I have never experienced racism in my whole life. Steve told us per Texas laws siblings are not allowed to live together also per Texas child law my 13 years old cannot share room with her sister for a 4 bedroom house which was not the case . I asked everyone at my new work place if that is such a thing I was told no it’s not. Steve was very rude advise us to find a different place and I need to let the realtor who told me what he was telling us was not right to find me a place and he just not gonna rent to us without even knowing us he made his decisions just based of our names and ethnicity as soon as he saw our applications. I am still in shock that this has happened to me at the age of 37 years old. He also told me I had to be at my job for 6 months even tho I advise him that I just moved here last week and currently working and we all have income. His receptionist called and told us we had the place he had her called us back to say because we are siblings and adults he cannot rent to us .

I had nothing but positive and great experiences with Steve, Nella and Brian. Anytime I had an issue it was addressed in less than 3 days. They always worked around mine and my wife's work schedule for the annual home inspection. They were helpful in all ways and made everything from move in to paying rent to move our super simple. I will definitely refer anyone to them and use them again if I'm backbin the area. Thank you Steve and Nella

I still warn people of Steve’s BS. Read your lease and ask questions. If Steve starts to get annoyed find a different company. Our house turned over every 12 months. That is a Red flag or I should have seen it as one. I’ve had a new company take the contract and I have had the same tenet for 4 years. That is what a proper property management can do. Save yourself the lesson we learned and find a professional management team. They are a family business without a maintenance team or the backing to get things done. Texas has laws that prevent people like this from taking advantage of you so read your lease follow your maintenance and ask questions.
Steve thought me a lot about what not to hire. I do not recommend this small company to take care of my 180,000 house neither should you

Me and my wife had a experience with red oak, Steve, Nella and Brian are wonderful. We both rented and purchased our property using red oak. Renting was a great experience. Any maintenance needed was quickly taken care of and Steve was always available for any problem or issue. When we later purchased our home through red oak, Steve and Brian made sure that any issue was taken care promptly and professionally and we were able to close early. Highly recommended.

I rented a house from them for 5 months, I was paying over the rent until I changed jobs. Once I changed jobs it caused my bills to slow up, I was late paying my rent; but I paid my rent. They evicted my children and I for late fees. They didn't give me a chance to make that up. As a single mother they just caused us hardship! The house on US Grant Drive, is the only house on the block at $1000 a month. Everyone over there is around $800. I suggest you rethink this property and find a cheaper, worth it house. You get behind, they don't give you a chance!

If I could give NO stars and write a review I would. Red Oak realty is absolutely the worst property management company that exists! They will charge you for every single thing that is wrong with the house even if it was already broken before you moved in. We called them about the A/C unit not working properly and they sent someone to fix it and didn’t tell us anything until we were getting our deposit back that they took $114 out of our deposit. I have never ever dealt with a property management company that didn’t have a hired maintenance person who did fixes when necessary. I could understand if it was something that we broke, but this was something that was already wrong with the property. We also advised them that the pole that was holding up the patio roof was loose and when it is windy it swings back and fourth and they never came out and fixed it so at any point the pole could have fallen and injured someone but they didn’t care to fix it. I do not recommend this company to anyone EVER! Steve who I believe owns the company said to us once, that we are paying $1500 a month for rent but to think of it as us renting the place for free and that we live in the house to keep it maintenances! I’m no sir!!! That is not how it works! I pay you rent to live here and you should have someone employed to keep maintenance of the house!!! What is wrong with these people! How do you not disclose what is being charged and then in a sneaky manner you take it out of the deposit without having consulted the tenants. I called to let them know that the A/C was leaking water. That is not my problem. I did not break the A/C it was like that from the beginning but you are going to charge me? Stay far far far away from this company. You can find better homes for better rental prices that have a maintenance on staff and won’t charge you every cent for something that you didn’t break yourself!!! This company is a disgrace and should not be in the property management business. They do not know what they are doing!!!!

I found Red Oak Real Estate to be outstanding management team to rent from. They found my family an I a beautiful house in Quail Estates Harker Heights which we were able to rent for approximately 3 years. The owners of Red Oak Real State Nella and her husband were amazingly helpful when it came to any repair issues with the home rental. Thank you and continued success.

BUYER BEWARE! ZERO STARS. Read the fine print of the contract and make sure to document leasing agent's responses. Leases are very ambiguous. When I was questioning everything Steve became quite agitated and told me that they are family business and the lease was a "template" and that with military orders we wouldn't have a problem. We received orders and his story has since changed. Even though we were prorated to move in, we are being charged for a full month although were are only in the house for 10 days of our last month. He also stated that we have to leave utilities on for the full month which is not clear in the verbiage of the contract. He stated it was required by the state which I know is not accurate since this is the 3rd home we have rented in the state since 2012. The owner has been unprofessional on multiple occasions, and is NOT capable of discussing anything in disagreement.
