To reply- the new property manager
, Leah, is great. A realtor for the units for sale is the one who told me this is common practice. Then she stopped responding when I brought up concerns (after telling me to reach out with concerns)

Update to add- just told it is common practice to leave doors (not just unlocked- open) and windows open for days on end to air out paint fumes… soo may want to check for squatters before you move into your overpriced renovated home. The door in the photo has been left open for two days. I brought it to their attention, and got this response

What a joke. They bought out the condo that I currently rent- wanting to sell at exorbitant prices. They do not take care of the property. I asked for months about landscaping, but the only fixed it when they had an open house that they told NONE of us about. The person in charge knows nothing. Today we find out we have a new leasing manager, and the office is open two days a week. How convenient that she scheduled the email to go out on Tuesday at 6:30 pm, and she won’t be back until next Monday. I cannot wait to leave. They have no answers, charge way too much, and are just lacking in so many areas. Owned by the same group as rhe LC lifestyle communities. That should tell you all that you need to know.

Amanda was awesome to work with! As a first time home buyer I was definitely nervous going in, but Amanda helped me through every step of the process and made sure everything went smoothly. She was always available if there were any problems or questions and was very quick in getting everything set up and responding. It’s very clear Amanda has a real passion for real estate and that came across in how helpful and easy she was to work with. She was so encouraging and helpful through this entire process, I can't speak highly enough about her!

Thank you Gayla for helping us find our new home!! My sister and I were living in an apartment and had been debating resigning or looking to purchase a home. We were paired up with Gayla McKay and had a wonderful experience! As first time home buyers, we had a lot of questions and Gayla was very patient in guiding us through the process. She was quick to respond and got us scheduled immediately to see new listings we were interested in. She was very personable and knowledgeable, and took great interest in helping us find exactly what we were looking for. We would strongly recommend her to our family and friends. We are so happy in our new place!

Gayla is the perfect 'seller's market' realtor. I do not recommend Gayla McKay if you are a buyer or a first-home buyer. She worked against me more than for me and did not deserve her commission. Home buying should be exciting, but Gayla McKay made it highly stressful. Here are just a few reasons why:
-Gayla McKay was very good at answering texts and questions, but I would have to think of the questions to ask first. As a first-home buyer, that was very stressful, and she provided me with no insight or explanation of the home-buying process before the next step.
-Forgot important papers at closing. Gayla McKay failed to submit my seller/buyer agree-to remedy documents (which were signed four weeks prior), which required an all-new closing appointment and significantly increased my closing fees. I had her take the raised portion of the fee out of her commission, but she argued with my loan officer, title agent, and listing agent before she agreed.
-Will not review the inspection reports with you. Gayla McKay did not catch major electrical issues with the first house I paid to inspect.
-Zero client service. A friend found the house I ended up buying. Gayla McKay didn't search or offer to set up appointments. She would say, "look on the MLS account map and tell me what you want to see."
-Unethical advisement: Gayla McKay told me radon can't be mitigated in old homes and tried to talk me out of getting it tested instead of asking the sellers for an extension. (I only knew you could ask for an extension once a friend told me).
-Gayla McKay will set your contracts up without a home warranty without asking if you want one or explaining it's part of the process!
-Gayla only deposited earnest money the night before the first attempt to close, which inconvenienced the title agents and loan officers to redo the paperwork and would have delayed my refund.
-Gayla McKay would schedule closings on her time in her neighborhood before confirming with me.
I wouldn't even leave one star if I could.

We came to Collective House Realty to buy our first home and were matched with Sue. She is knowledgeable, personable, adaptable, and very responsive. We had difficult sellers and a difficult lender, and Sue was absolutely our saving grace in the process. She kept us informed and went to bat for us, and we couldn't have gotten through it without her. We'd recommend Sue to anyone needing a realtor.
