We cannot recommend Kingsbridge Brokers enough! Earlier this year, my father and I were invited by my now-wife and her family to attend the free Business of Life event, where our eyes were opened to the idea of acquisitions and mergers and their benefits. We realized we both wanted to leave a stronger legacy for our family. After serious prayer and thoughtful conversations, we made the important decision to pursue acquiring a business with Kingsbridge.

Let me just say, the Kingsbridge team has been nothing short of exceptional in guiding us through this process. We always felt assured they were on our side, doing everything they could to ensure we benefited as much as possible. Our broker, Jonathan, was an absolute rockstar, guiding us step by step with expert advice and unmatched diligence. He even tracked down signatures across 12 different time zones (from Hawaii to Poland) to make sure we closed the deal before the holidays!

Another significant advantage of working with Kingsbridge is their partnership program, which they offer post-sale. We’re both excited to rely on their guidance and expertise as we navigate this new business as first-time buyers. Josh and Jonathan were absolute pros — these guys KNOW what they're doing and they have all the connections to make it a one-stop transaction.

Initially my wife and I were looking to buy a business on our own, but through a wise suggestion from Kingsbridge, we partnered with another couple who live near us to invest into another Kingsbridge client's business (also near us) that needed help expanding. It was much more economical to buy in this way and we can now help this business grow effectively by splitting duties three ways!

Our situation was not a simple one, but Josh and Jonathan knew what to do. They put a team together to not only help the two new couples buy in, but form a separate C-corp that would provide management services to the existing couple's business while establishing ownership of the entire entity three ways.

Very Disappointing & Unprofessional Experience **Read to the end **

My wife and I, first-time business buyers, worked with Kingsbridge Brokers for approximately 1.5 years. Initially, we were looking outside of our home state of MN due to regulations. However, after 8 months, our broker assured us that they (Kingsbridge) had found a way to work with us in MN and that the owner, Josh Tolley was aware. We clarified if we needed to do anything different but were assured there was nothing. From that point on we focused our efforts exclusively on MN businesses, relying on their guidance. As our contract neared its end (1 year), we were assured again by our broker that we didn't need to do anything and they would continue to represent us. Yet, after investing significant time and resources in MN business pursuits for almost a year, and while in the middle of actively pursuing a business with our broker, we were abruptly told they could no longer work with us “because we were only looking in MN.”

We were shocked, so we reached out to Josh who seemed interested in resolving the issue. However, on our zoom call he avoided discussing the “MN situation”, only talking about a potential new option they had for us. The proposed solution was unclear due to conflicting information between Josh and our broker and we were unable to get clarity on that. We then received a “best wishes” letter from Josh, who mentioned that it was a “recent decision of ours to look exclusively in MN – where Kingsbridge cannot service us.” That was not true, this decision was NOT recent.

We sent a follow-up email to Josh explaining our situation and frustration in more detail because we felt perhaps he didn’t fully understand what our broker had told us almost a year ago, but we were met with a lengthy condescending and degrading response, lacking any apology or explanation. His secretary also replied, backing up Josh, without answering our questions.

Despite multiple attempts to communicate (via email, phone call, and we offered to do a zoom meeting), they will not respond to us and never took responsibility for this situation. This lack of professionalism and transparency from Josh has been very frustrating and disappointing. We strongly advise others to exercise caution when considering working with Kingsbridge. We invested significant time, money, and energy into our partnership with Kingsbridge and Josh Tolley. Unfortunately, our efforts were not valued, and we were dismissed without explanation. We want to share our experience to prevent others from facing similar treatment.
