Not sure what happened, but communication was subpar, dates were wrong on official tax documents I had to correct, and general discussion around finances and taxes left me confused. Used her twice and I do not recommend. Jamie seems to be going through a growth or right-sizing that has stunted her ability to provide the tax help she advertises. I went to her for taxes, and I ended up doing most of the itemizing work into excel documents and reviewing her mistakes. Again, not worth the labor or fee for the return.

Let me preface this by stating I usually do my own taxes.However, due to a back audit and having to pay the IRS several thousand dollars this past year, I felt it necessary to use someone more knowledgeable in tax preparation. I didn’t want to use a Turbo Tax or J. Hewitt or HR Block professional after discussing with my paralegal girlfriend. She suggested I go straight to a CPA who gets a bit more involved and in depth. She found Jamie Thornburg through just a random search along with other CPA’s. After procrastinating for over a month, I chose Jamie at random only because my girlfriend said she gave her good vibes after she communicated with her. I contacted Jamie and explained my situation. We setup an appointment. From the moment I walked into her office she greeted me with a smile and calm demeanor. I immediately assessed her attitude and disposition to see if I felt like ‘a number’. I didn’t. She was warm, welcoming, and listened to my situation all over again and immediately began to offer advice and solutions. She was patient and very knowledgeable of the entire tax process and how to navigate my unorthodox situation. I was very pleased from beginning to end and grateful that she went above and beyond for me as just a random client whom she’d just met. I will definitely see her again for any CPA related work. Furthermore, if you’ve made it this far in the review, I highly recommend you get a Jamie in your life for peace of mind, a pleasant experience, and assurance that you’re completely taken care of without any doubts!
