AVOID! I have had nothing but issues with Grip Cellular insurance (Cellbrokage). Original phone was replaced with a refurbished phone. The face recognition option never worked. They sent a different phone that was locked and not specific to my cellular carrier. A 3rd phone was sent and it came back as “NO PAY” and unable to use. My cellular carrier informed me it usually means phone was stolen. In addition, they out source customer service and you can’t get anyone who truly wants to or can help you. Stay far away.

I just got my case yesterday. I love the look and feel of it but it must not protect very well because the company makes it so hard to register it. I can only imagine how horrible this company is in paying out a claim. They make the registration process extremely hard. The code that’s sent out was next to impossible to read. There was no distinction between an I and a l. The woman from support was pleasant but would only assist with the correct number from the bar code in the email. She hung up and I was on my own to find a IMEI number. Once you do finally find the IMEI number in your phone and do a screen shot and send in your receipt, they send you another email that tells you that you had to send it or they will deny the claim. This vendor has aggravated me for about an hour of my time and I have no intention ever recommending or purchasing again. Even my Verizon rep was taken aback at what a PIA it was.

Terrible service. I have had 3 phones replaced in 4 months. Their phones are all remanufactured and subpar. Now, they haven't received the last phone back due to their Incompetency during a pandemic, they want to charge me a ungodly amount of money. I sent it in with their label, in their box, and they wouldn't work with me to help track it. Ralph, a supervisor, belittled me, while saying, I didn't send it. He continually stated "hello, hello, I can't hear you. Are you there". As if he couldn't hear me, but in fact he could, but said "I wasn't saying anything he hadn't heard before!" Very disrespectful. Poor customer service. Bad customer policies. Very unprofessional. BTW, I have never made a claim in 7 years. Buyer beware.

I had this coverage because it was a condition of getting the latest phone for free. It has a high deductible ($100) and the refurbished phones they send are never 100%. They work but with annoying bugs such as the auto rotate function not working or randomly freezing and then restarting, things like that.

I would not recommend. You could easily get a used phone on craigslist for $300 and it would work a lot better.

Worked as expected. I lost my phone, contacted Cell Brokerage and got a replacement within 24 hours. I do recommend backing up your phone on a regular basis - I could have done that better! But, Cell Brokerage executed flawlessly - very happy with the replacement and the speed with which they returned me to my digital life!

One only hopes to never have to use cell phone insurance, however, accidents happen! When they do happen, the one thing that stands in the front line from turning a bad experience to a pleasant one, is customer service. One of the most noticeable flaws in GRIP customer service is communication. You will hear a different explanation of GRIP from a store representative (buying insurance), to their call center (using insurance, question/inquiries), up to their corporate employees (claims and escalated issues). Issues and escalations do get resolved, however, the time when it's resolved is unpredictable. Once their communication is cleared up, their service becomes outstanding! Solid company!

I'll give Cell Brokerage credit for doing the right thing after my web chat with them. In fact they creditted my account for more months of coverage than I thought they would 😁.
I'm a happy camper after all.
Still: Caveat Emptor!

Don't sign up for Grip insurance for your Verizon phone! They operate in a cloak of darkness hoping to keep grabbing money from your account month after month.
In my case they did not communicate via email or any other means than a EFT. I thought the coverage was for one of our 4 phones but it was for one of our jetpacks that we returned 6months ago. I think they like to operate this way hoping their "customers" wont dig into what is (or is not) being covered.
The only refund i was offered is $4.
Dont sign up at the time you get a new service at Verizon.

I have had GRIP insurance for more than a year. The customer support is awesome. The monthly pricing and deductables are very affordable and lower than alot of places. I love the GRIP Security application. I can track my device when I lose it, lock it, and remote wipe so my info is secure.
