I have called the office several days in a roll to ask them to change a prescription at my pharmacy because what they sent was way to expensive being on Social Security. The pharmacy told me they had much cheaper ones that would work as well as the expensive one. Today was my many calls to the Dr requesting a new prescription; they still have not changed it. Nor they never called me back after they said they would. I am contacting the doctor direct. I am a new patient and to be treated this way is not acceptable.

This was one of the best outpatient experiences I've ever had in my entire life. I had a routine colonoscopy in February 2025 and I was dreading it (of course). My primary doc had originally scheduled me with a much larger facility (that starts with an "L") in Greensboro, where I had my first colonoscopy at age 50; and their pre-procedure interview and response to my questions were so cold, inadequate and off-putting, I ended up calling my new insurance provider (BCBS of NC) for advice. BCBS helped me find a short list of alternate gastrointestinal centers and I decided on GAP of Kernersville. I requested an appointment online and received a call within 24 hours. The GAP staffer was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming. GAP's prep solution, process and instructions were SO much easier to understand and deal with than the messy, convoluted booklet the Greensboro "L" center had sent me. She even confirmed my insurance coverage and possible out-of-pocket costs, something the Greensboro "L" center had been unable to do. The best was yet to come - my experience at GAP of Kernersville was like visiting a spa. The facility was clean, modern, comfortable, bright and relaxing. The nurses and physicians assistant were personable, intelligent and treated me as if I was the most important patient in the world. Dr. David Barry is one of the most professional and nicest doctors I've ever met - he put me at ease, spent plenty of time with me before and after the procedure, and his very well-written procedure report and photos landed on my iPhone just as he was walking in to do the post-op review and discharge instructions with me. I received a pathology report a few days later, and there were no unpleasant billing surprises. In an era when we don't know what to expect any more when it comes to medical care, this was truly one of the best experiences I have had in many, many years - a very pleasant surprise. I highly, highly, highly recommend Dr. Barry and the staff at Gastroenterology Associates of the Piedmont at Kernersville, NC.

Dr. Connolley Is wonderful. Very patient focus and there to help patients. Very knowledgeable also. I highly highly recommend him! His surgical staff is wonderful and full of smiles and laughter and they all go above and beyond patients are well taken care of here!

I’ve been a patient of GAP for a long time. When Dr Austin passed away the teams at GAP were quick to help me get in with a new Dr and P.A. They take my health very serious and are quick to respond to any questions I have. I would highly recommend them!

I went to see Dr. Henry Mixon, He listened to my concerns and is trying to help me. He was very caring and also is running test to see what is going on. I recommend this Dr. if you have IBD problems. he is a very nice Dr. I am sticking with Dr. Mixon.

***update**** called to get a question answered about a certain procedure, instead of getting my call or question to the doctor they called me back n told me to go to my chart and ask him myself. There isn't even an option for me to message him ..... Piss poor service****

**update** idk what's the issue with me n this office but I never get my call backs or appts set like they claim they will do. I'm over here suffering n have to call over n over n over jus to get an appt! Not to mention I got my test results 2 weeks before they did n had to wait n wait for a call. Smh I jus want relief n help!!!!!

I made an apt to get a SIBO test done.....get to the appt jus for them to telle they don't do it n wait for wake forest.....I'm still waiting. Not to mention I had to wait a month for this appointment suffering the entire time. Was a waste of time n money with no relief. Guess I gotta go the supplement route.

So disappointed at the PA. Just left the office in Kernersville the PA literally called my husband a liar 😮, cause she didn't understand his answer..She doesn't need to work with the public especially in a Dr.office!
