process. Once we had an accepted offer, she even spent hours of her own time (without us asking) to

Mari and her team are absolutely amazing. I have nothing negative to say about them. We have used Mari twice now. Once to buy our first home, and again to sell and build a new home. Both experiences were "scary" as first time buyers and then first time builders/sellers in a wild housing market but Mari was with us every step of the way. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is super knowledgeable and had our best interests at heart the entire time. We were referred from a family member who is another realtor extraordinaire. We also checked with a couple other realtors from the Madison area. The initial realtor phone calls were so starkly different! I think at least one of them was facing health challenges, so we wish her well.

Now, Mari Slobounov realized we didn't know anything about the area. She was able to connect her computer to ours, to show us the different areas, and general costs associated with those areas. We were so impressed and pleased, we hired her almost immediately. We are cautious, to the point of "analysis paralysis" sometimes, but we immediately trusted that she would help us find an appropriate place, within our limited price range. She managed to pull off some superwoman feats, like negotiating so quickly and seamlessly, that we wondered how she did it. She also "won" us several other assets that we hadn't dreamt of getting at all. That, has never happened before for us and we've been through about 5 or 6 different types of home purchases in several different states. We've been through fixer-uppers to custom homes - that has taught us many things...

We put Mari under intense time pressure. She accepted the challenge gleefully and even managed to push us harder than we did ourselves. Amazing! We had to rent a house for a month to be local and to be able to actually "experience" whatever place we considered. This was a lot harder than we expected, but Mari made it seem like a vacation (almost). We were like kids in a candy store the first few places we visited. She never made us feel like stupid old fools who didn't understand what we might have been getting ourselves into. The homes were so beautiful! But, we're older and aging faster than we'd like, so thanks to Mari and an astute relative, we were kindly shown, and eventually accepted reality. We are looking forward to a new type of living arrangement, with less yard/garden work, and less maintenance activities. The saved time and expense will afford us more time to successfully make new friends, pursue more adventures, hobbies, and social encounters. Maybe we'll even be able to get into a little "trouble". (SMILE & WINK)

We are from a different time zone and inconsiderately bugged Mari all hours of the day. She did point this out, which I saluted, so I stopped. We were getting desperate though, thinking we'd have to leave before we found our perfect "next-stage-of-life nest". It took several bonks on my head to realize that what we needed vs. what we wanted were 2 different things. Poor Mari - we probably confused (frustrated?) her almost as much as we confused ourselves. But it all "crystallized into a perfect diamond." Thank you Mari!

So, Mari is our champion! She quickly and painlessly found a perfect place for us, that met several conflicting needs and wants, amongst our family of 3. She is well-versed in reading people, understanding the various neighborhoods, patient with jet-lagged, cantankerous people, resourceful, well connected and embodies sharp business acumen. Her ultra-fast adaptation to "fast-tracking" bureaucratic processes is savvy and moxified. She informed us of several costs/benefits decisions that we weren't even aware we had. She even pointed out that certain places we visited were unacceptable, due to fabrication mistakes.
