We had the pleasure of working with Alex Smith to assist us in finding the perfect land to build our vacation/retirement home. Alex was very helpful and efficient in providing information on several properties we showed interest in. Alex spent the day showing us several properties and gave insight on a lot of things we hadn't thought about. Once we found the property we were happy with, Alex was quick to get what we needed to get an oral agreement. The seller had two back up offers the very next day. Since we do not live in NC currently, we didn't have an attorney to do the closing or a someone to do the survey. Alex was able to provide us with both and we were happy with their work. There were some issues from the seller's side that slowed the closing, but Alex was very responsive and reassuring as to what was going to happen and went to great lengths to get the property closed for us. I would highly recommend Alex Smith to anyone looking for real estate/houses in the Waynesville/Maggie Valley area.

I had the pleasure of working with Katie to purchase a lot of land, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. From the very beginning, she was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, responsive and dedicated to helping me secure the perfect property.

Katie took the time to guide me through the entire process, and made sure every detail was handled smoothly. She provided expert advice, answered all my questions promptly, and ensured that I felt confident in my decision.

Thanks to her the entire process was stress free. I highly recommend Katie to anyone looking for a real estate professional.

Sadly, had a terrible real estate transcation with this branch, that went as far as the regional relocation manager. All complaints and concerns were brought to managements attention throughout the 2 month process. Unfortunately, the manager of this branch was not able to/willing to address them.

I strongly recommend anyone to have second thoughts about working with this agency. If you do work with them, do your homework to ensure your agent is competent and is able/willing to communicate to your expectations.

Our experience with Amy Valliere and her office during the purchase of a home she listed was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. From the start, Amy was difficult to work with, displaying a lack of professionalism and basic respect toward our agent. Rather than collaborating, she dismissed or ignored reasonable requests. When our agent reminded her of the contractual obligation to provide reasonable access to the property for due diligence, Amy responded dismissively, saying, "Keep your opinion to yourself."

When discrepancies arose—such as differences between the square footage listed in the MLS and our own professional measurements—Amy simply dismissed our findings without engaging in any meaningful discussion, saying, “Our measurements are our measurements, and yours are yours.”

Though we understood that communication was delayed due to a hurricane, once contact was restored, Amy’s attitude became even more dismissive. She ignored our reasonable repair requests by not even acknowledging our request. She negotiated an extended close date in exchange for a one week extended due diligence period and never had it signed. We found out by surprise that she never had it signed. It seemed as though she was trying to pressure us into backing out of the deal, potentially allowing the seller to keep our due diligence deposit. We were under the impression that the seller had changed her mind about selling, and Amy may have been aware of that and making it unnecessarily difficult for us.

As we suspected, the seller ultimately chose to back out of the contract entirely indicating she did not want to move. Both Amy and her broker went silent and even removed the listing from the MLS—something that violates MLS rules while a binding contract is still active. This led us to believe they had not been forthcoming about the seller’s intentions and may have been trying to wear us down.

In all our years of buying homes, we have never encountered such an unprofessional and opaque experience. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Amy Valliere or her office to anyone.

I worked with Marty Prevost recently and she was the absolute best realtor! From our first meeting up to the closing Marty was professional, informative, friendly and very easy to work with. Marty understood the emotion of selling a beloved family home and she made me feel at ease. Her suggestions for preparing the house were spot on and very helpful for prospective buyers. And when I was ready to throw in the towel, Marty assured me everything would work out and boy it sure did!!!!!! I couldn't be happier with the results of my house sale! If you are looking for a wonderful agent, call Marty Prevost!!!!!

Laura Thomas was our Realtor and she was fabulous to work with during this entire process. She was always available, helped us work through any hurdles, and kept us up-to-date the whole time.

Everyone that we worked with at Beverly-Hanks was courteous, professional, and always happy to help. It was a great buying experience over all.

Ellen Sither was the best real estate agent I’ve encountered in NC. We have listed our home in the past, but never got the treatment she gave us. She was highly recommended by a neighbor who had also used her to sell a property. She communicates with you well, gave great advice on how to improve the property for the best sale and helped us jump though all the hoops when it came to closing. I would strongly recommend Ellen to anyone selling a home in that area.

We had the pleasure of working with Laura Thomas to find our vacation home in the area. Aside from the fact that she is a sweet, genuine person, she is also reliable and very efficient. She got back to us promptly and always made time for us when we came into town. She knows the area very well and offers great recommendations. Her assistant, Donna Moore, is also great and our experience with both of them was fantastic! We would surely use Laura again to buy or sell in the Waynesville area.
