This guy accused me of stiffing him several times and under paying last year. None of its true. We agreed on a price every year and I paid it. Just admit when your wrong about something. Maybe apologies 🤷‍♂️ nobody's perfect.

I have use Brian as my CPA for years. I have been happy with the service I got up until this year. I had Brian file an extension on my 2022 and asked in the same email to have him file an extension on 2023 taxes on March 7, 2024, well before April 15. I heard nothing from him and made multiple calls to his secretary who supposedly relayed the message to him, again, before April 15. Finally he responded on March 28, 2024 saying he filled an extension on 2023. I then heard nothing from him for almost 2 months. I started emailing and calling leaving messages again with no answer to either. On June 16, I. Sent him my 2023 taxes in an email and inquired about 2022 since I hadn't heard anything. Then on June 26th I received a Social Security review for my disability and Medicare which I can't lose because I see multiple specialists as a cancer survivor and have many issues from radiation exposure. I still hadn't heard anything and sent him another email with the Social Security letter attached to hopefully spur him into doing CPA work. Finally I send him a message on Facebook....which is totally unprofessional to have to tack your CPA down that way. He told me on June 27 he would start on them that Tuesday. He said he thought he had already done my 2022 and sent them too me already but hadn't even started them. Then, July 8th rolls around and NO COMMUNICATION AGAIN. So I Facebook message him...he said, "give me until tomorrow or Wednesday and I'll have them both done for you." Then, 10 days later, he informs me that my taxes are so disorganized it will cost me $1000 to do them and he hadn't started them. I've sent him the same one or two page organized business information exactly how he's requested since 2008. Nothing had changed....I took it to a CPA to get a rush done and they said they didn't understand the issue....they said they wish all their clients organized their taxes like I did because I did all the work and they just had to punch numbers in. What it boils down to is Brian was too lazy to do them and didn't have the testicular fortitude to tell me, so he drug it out for 5 months putting me in a major bind. I have recommended him to everyone I know in all the surrounding towns of Carterville. I'm very well respected in that area and will post my name so hopefully people read this and take warning. I may post all of the screenshots of messenger and emails to back up what I've said above.....I havnt decided yet. BRIAN SWINFORD....YOU NEED TO DO BETTER!!!

Just got my taxes done yesterday for the first time by Swinford. Brian was great, efficient, quick, answered any and all questions, and super friendly! The lady at the front desk (Donna) was also very helpful and quick to help me upon walking in! Thank you Swinford Tax! I will see you next year!

I normally do my own using TurboTax, but this year, I figured I would have better luck with an Income Tax Professional. Today, after our appointment, I can easily say that he is hands down the most professional and easy going tax guy in the region. I definitely recommend Mr. Swinford to all of my friends, and to anyone who is reading this review. 5 stars! Call to make an appointment! p.s.
