I needed to get an eye exam and new glasses, so I decided to give Manhattan Beach Vision Group a try as it was highly recommended by one of my friends.

Upon contacting them, I was able to quickly and easily make an appointment to be seen. Within a few minutes of speaking with the receptionist, I received an email with a link to complete the new patient forms. It was recommended to complete online to expedite my upcoming visit.

Just like over the phone during my initial call, the staff was incredibly friendly, professional and efficient.

Shortly after checking in, I was whisked away to begin the eye exam where I was helped by the optometrist's assistant Max, who was great!

Next, I was seen by Dr. Pham, who completed the exam. She was super friendly and thorough. She was not rushed and took the time to answer my questions.

Last, but certainly not least, I was then escorted to pick out and get fitted for glasses by Wendy.

Not only was Wendy friendly and professional, but she was SO helpful in helping me understand my insurance benefits. Plus, she went over all of the lens options, which was very helpful!

Again, I was not rushed. In fact, she encouraged me to take my time, so that I could find the right pair of glasses.

All in all, it was an outstanding experience, which was executed by a very well-trained, friendly and professional staff.

The doctor and service professionals were all lovely but I will say I was greeted by a very unfriendly and rude receptionist. It was my first visit and I felt accosted by questions about if I had an appointment and insurance ( who walks into a vision clinic casually?) - I was there because my insurance recommended it. She really turned me off upon entering but the appointment got better after my experience with the older woman at the front and I got the glasses I needed. A little hospitality and kindness could go a long way.

The office is always spotless, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The doctors are not only knowledgeable but also forward-thinking in their approach. I truly feel like I’m in excellent hands every time I visit. Thank you for the outstanding care!

I have been long time customer at Manhattan Beach Vision Group. I can’t describe how friendly and caring the staff is. I have always had such a experience with getting my eyes checked, getting glasses and other eye care. Paul is super helpful. Highly recommend!

1 star for the new management

It's a sad day when the customer no longer comes first.

However, I love Dr. Tam and Paul (the best eyeglasses guy!). They go over and beyond with their expertise and guidance. I trust them completely with my eye care.

Unfortunately, they can no longer go over and beyond because their hands are tied by new management. I have a particularly challenging eye glass prescription and it forces me to find frames that are small, so as to prevent the coke bottle syndrome.

With new restrictions, MBVG can no longer help me and that's discouraging and extremely frustrating. I understand, I'm the exception. I was just hoping to find a one-stop shop for my eye needs.

I'll now look elsewhere, for a place that can take care of my eye health and provide a full service to meet my eyeglass needs.

Best wishes to everyone at MBVG. Y'all are awesome!!! If you need eye care and you don't have special needs, this is your place to go! And ask for Paul. He's the absolute best.

This office used to be so great, but they recently changed management and are no longer honoring their lens warranty policies, even for customers that were told their lenses came with a warranty before this change took place. I’ve also encountered long waits and understaffing since this change. I understand that it isn’t in the staffs’ hands, and appreciate the tough situation they are in with unhappy customers, but I will be switching practices due to this new lack of accountability and customer service. Despite the response from the owner below asking for me to call the office to address these issues, no rectification was provided.
