If I could rate Forward LLP as a -10, I would. The WORST communication and client representation and interaction ever! They received my detailed excel spread sheets and completed "workbook" 6 weeks prior to the IRS filing deadline of 10/15/20. On October 10'th, five days prior to the IRS filing deadline, I was informed that now, their "firm policy" is that only upon payment (which they require to be submitted electronically), will returns be filed, so on Oct. 10'th, I sent checks for the full payment of $1670. to their office in San Rafael. Five days prior to the IRS deadline I was informed via email that they would, "check to see if the payment arrived." 48 hours prior to deadline, I left 3 voice mails and 3 emails to Kris Edwards & John Ward - CPA's and their office mgr requesting confirmation that my returns had been electronically filed. No communication from any of the three. I am confounded, anxious and frustrated as to whether my tax returns have been electronically filed. For 15 years , prior to this, I was a satisfied client of John Edwards, founder of this CPA firm (before he passed), but since their reorganization and new name, they have raised fees, become very automated, impersonal and unresponsive. As I write this, I am wondering if they are now a fraudulent organization. There is not a single excuse that I can imagine, why after receiving payment, they have not filed my returns. DO NOT engage with this organization!!!!

We had worked with one of accountants for years, came with her when she joined Forward LLP. We stayed there first a couple more years but realized we needed more help with wealth building not just taxes. We transferred to another company and everything seemed amicaple. However, we realized that they didn’t file one of our business taxes in 2018 and missed a huge deduction for 2017. They have completely “ghosted” us and won’t return any of our calls or our current accountant’s. Completely unprofessional and costing us thousands of dollars.

I would not recommend Forward LLP. One of their principles, John Ward, made an enormous error on our tax return that cost us money, time, stress - etc. and became was very aggressive and defensive about his error. He ended up ignoring my requests to resolve the issue in the end. Incredibly unprofessional to a level I have not experienced in my professional career. The whole ordeal cast a huge shadow for me on what this firm is all about. I'm posting this in hopes of preventing what happened to me, to happen to others.

40 year relationship with Kris Edwards, and now won’t respond to emails, texts or phone calls. Very unprofessional, unethical and unreliable. New CPA found numerous errors over past years. My family shocked at her attitude. Time to move away with no regrets. People beware, what you see and read is not always what you get.
