I have had the absolute worst service through this office (quick summary: had to wait over 2 months to receive a refund on my prorated homeowners payment despite repeated calls--most unanswered and un-returned--to this office). I have been a customer since 2017 and while I initially found Ms. Elkins-Reuter to be a lot pushier than I would prefer, I did feel my needs were being met. However, this past summer that changed significantly. I paid my homeowners policy a few weeks before selling my house and called the office to inform them of the sale and to direct them where to send my refund check and that I wanted it made out to me only, not to myself and my former partner. Vanessa was very helpful and assured me that that would all be taken care of with no problem. After that, everything went wrong. The check was not made out as she had promised. It took several attempts to get a call back from the office to have the check cancelled and re-sent. It never arrived. On and on, it went. I left multiple phone messages, most of which were not returned. Occasionally, I would hear back from Vanessa, never Lisa, though I repeatedly requested to speak to her directly as she is the head of the office and it was obvious Vanessa did not have the authority to assist me. Vanessa was always polite and did her best to be helpful and I would be temporarily assuaged and tried to be patient and wait for my significant refund check (almost $1800), to no avail. I eventually had to call the 1-800 State Farm number and work with their escalations team because the agent's office would not return my calls or pick up (they did not answer the phone for their own escalation team either). It is quite likely that Ms. Elkins-Reuter had a personal emergency during this time, but the office never changed their outgoing phone message nor made any attempt whatsoever to allow customers to expect an almost complete lack of service--but you can be sure they pestered me to pay my auto and umbrella policies on time. It took over two months for me to finally receive my refund and now that I've cashed my check, I feel safe enough to leave this honest review and change agents. I never want to give a penny of my money to this office again.
