This firm is a nightmare! The most unprofessional, incompetent, rude people starting with the managing partner Peter Stephan, CPA Chuck Tabachnick, counsel Norman Kreisman, and "tax specialist" Joe Henry. Tabachnick's demonstrable incompetence caused a significant under reporting penalty to my elderly parents. Despite irrefutable evidence to the contrary, Tabachnick blamed his error on my 88 year old mother and refused to pay the penalty of just over $2k. Peter Stephan admitted that "Chuck really screwed this up," but went on a years long campaign of digging in his heels, being non-responsive for months on end, and even sending bullying, threatening and condescending emails to me. All not to have to pay $2k! Attorney Kresiman filed documents with the IRS seeking an abatement of the penalty rife with demonstrable untruths all in an effort to shift the blame to my mother. Joe Henry consistently failed to respond to requests for documents and email inquiries. This matter is still not settled. I am an attorney with 30 years experience and I have never witnessed such incompetence, unprofessionalism, and rudeness at all levels of a firm. It boggles my mind that they are able to maintain a business. Save yourself money, inconvenience, and aggravation and do not hire these unprincipled disreputable people.
