Had a discrepancy with my payroll company, went in to ask Charles English a question about processing my check and he flat out told me he can’t do it, he said he knows for a fact that they can’t because he’s worked there 11 years and treated me like I’m out here scamming people and also spoke loud enough to announce it to the entire bank. Pretty humiliating experience, I closed my account today.

Went to use one of their ATM machines today to withdrawal $120 After the machine said it was processing my transaction. The screen went black. I didn't get my card back Or my money or receipt. I went into the bank and after arguing with me. The mail teller told me that he didn't have access to the machine and my card wasn't in there. Once I asked to talk to a manager, a woman came out and was able to get my card out. But they didn't have the money and wouldn't give me the money. The machine was completely turned off. I went to a different ATM machine at a totally different location not Golden 1, Turns out the transaction did go through and they took the $120. When I went back right before 2pm The same woman. Close the door and locked it and was talking to me through the closed door telling me i'm gonna have to contact my card company to get my money back. Now I have to wait up to ninety days to get my funds all because I stopped to use this Golden 1's ATM. The way the staff handled it was unnecessary. They were very rude and dismissive. She was very smug like yeah, they stole the money and they don't care. they also gave me no proof to give to my credit card company to show that I didn't receive the money. It's gonna be a long drawn out process of me trying to get those funds back. Thanks carmichael golden one you guys suck employee remodel needed

Giving 3 stars because I had a bad experience today (06/18/2024).

When I first came in on 06/14/2024, I was trying to open up a new account but it was after 4:30pm and it was too late. A wonderful young woman helped me and she was so kind. She had blondish colored soft curly hair. She advised that I could sign up for an account online so that's what I did. I came to the branch today to withdraw a little bit of money but I was informed by bank Teller Connor that my account was locked because they needed more identifying information. Connor was an exceptional employee and very kind. He wrote down a list of things that I would need to bring back to the branch. So I let Conner know that I would be right back with my documents.
I returned to the bank approximately 30 minutes later and ended up working Bank teller, Angie. I explained to her that I had already opened up an account online but that I was instructed by Connor (I pointed to him) to bring in other identifying information so that they can unlock my account and add my identifying documents to my account.
Angie seemed irritated and told me she'd be right back. She said something (or maybe asked something) to another Teller and then left me standing there for like 4 mins. When she returned, Angie seemed irritated and asked me again what I needed to do. I explained to her again what I needed to do and as she took my documents underneath the glass she told me "you don't need all of that stuff" in an irritated way, as she ruffled through my documents and rudley dropped the ones that she didn't need, under the glass!! 😡😤 She took some of my documents and made copies of them. When she returned she told me that she made copies of what she needed to and that another gentleman should have everything that he needs. Who?! HUH? She then shoo'd me away and told me that I could talk to him (as she pointed to the man on an office) to see if there's anything else he needs. I asked her if I should ask him if there was anything else that the bank needed and she said something like , I guess! What the!!!!! Angie gave me no direction on why I needed to go over to talk to someone else but seemed to try to get rid of me!!!! Thank GOD the man who Angie pointed at, was nice. I walked over to the mans office and explained that I was providing more of my identifying info to unlock my account. When he looked at my SSN and my ID, he realized that all I needed to do was to provide my documents so that the bank could have more identifying info on me. (I think that he AND Angie thought that I needed to open an account (in which they prefer that customers make appointments to do that) when I clearly told Angie that I had already opened up an account online! At any rate, the man was a very pleasant and professional employee (I didn't get his name but he was a Black man). I asked him if everything was ok with Angie because she seemed upset.
All this to say is that Angie was/IS very rude and very inconsiderate towards me for no reason. Her behavior broke my heart because this is the 2nd bank in Sacramento county that I have opened up an account with that had bad customer service (I closed the other account after 3 days of bad customer service). The only saving grace is that 1 employee (Angie) out of 3 employees behaved badly. Actually there was another employee who answered the phone when I called Golden 1, approximately one month ago and he was extremely professional and kind. It was just Angie's behavior that put a bad taste in my mouth. At the end of the day, we all know how Karma works. On a positive note,
HATS off to Conner, the other Blonde lady who helped me when I first came in a few days ago, the phone teller AND the Black man who were all kind, patient and professional. I'll be back but I won't go to Angie's window😅

I went to this location a couple of weeks ago to deposit a check from my own business that I own, every other branch that I have been to I have had no issue depositing and getting my funds. The branch manager Heather here is the worst. She didn’t even take a glance at my account to see that I normally make this same transaction and made it clear and rudely that she would not release my funds. The attitude she gave me was extremely poor and uncalled for and had a smug attitude basically saying she doesn’t care under her breath. Avoid this place. You will have better luck and treated better at all the other Golden 1s.

This is my favorite branch and they are very nice and knowledgeable. I don't have to worry that they are going to call my cell number after I finished my transaction because other banks have done that to me after I left their bank.

This bank is always understaffed and the line is often 12 or more people. Today was no different. Customers would walk in and then immediately walk back out when they saw the line and only two tellers working. I witnessed, who I think was the manager, speak unkindly to a customer that voiced a complaint about the wait time and lack of tellers. I won't be back.

17 people deep line with two tellers, who are doing everything they can to keep things moving. This is a fantastic way to lose customers (and start a riot). Gotta do better than this. Last three trips to this bank have been almost as bad.
