I always have such an amazing experience with South Bay Credit Union. I have been with them since 2016. I cannot recommend them enough!! From the minute I walk in I am always greeted with a warm welcome and they make me feel like family. The staff especially Desi, Ivette and Sara at the Lomita branch, always go above and beyond to help me with any of my financial needs.

They have impressed me so much that I have had all my family members open accounts here and tell all my friends. It is great to know my loved ones will receive the same exceptional care and guidance that I do. I have all my loans through South Bay Credit Union because they have the best rates.

On a more personal note they helped me pay off my child support that had been hovering over my head for 30 years. It almost seemed impossible to get paid off but the ladies at South Bay Credit had great advice which I followed and helped me gain financial freedom.

Whenever I go to the branch, there's a long line. Getting any assistance over the phone requires waiting 2 hrs for a call back. Actually today 3/13 they called me back 4 hrs later and only because they saw this review. See below they responded. I had already left work early and arrived at the branch and they call while I'm here :/ The app is the worst. Couldn't do a wire transfer since the app was faulty. Awful and inconvenient. Since I couldn't get assistance I had to leave early from work to go all the way to the branch. Why would I call for help when the initial person answering can't help and just takes a call back number. Banking shouldn't be such a hassle.

I have had issues receiving my visa replacement card from you guys. I only bank with sbcu and I had to open a chase account because I started running into issues paying things that were on debit autopay on that card like my western union transfers. I have yet to receive my replacement card since my old one was deactivated in sept 18. According to them I should have had a replacement since the 18th and nothing yet maybe next month. Absolutely ridiculous.

My wife Karen and I joined in April of 2018. We had just gotten married and wanted to put our cash gifts into the bank. Neither of us had an account anywhere. I consulted my daughter. She told me to join a credit union. We went to the new South Bay Credit Union in Lomita. Sara Morales, manager, was excellent. We love visiting with her, while also taking care of business. Everyone is very nice and willing to help with anything you might need. Awesome!!

I’ve been a member at this credit union for a few years now, and recently financed my car here. Charles Nguyen, Relationship Manager was extremely knowledgeable about the auto loan and extremely helpful throughout the whole paperwork process.

I highly recommend to join this credit union if you live in the South Bay and ask for Charles Nguyen (Lomita) he’ll make you feel like family.

I am a regular customer, not scam or someone from SBCU trying to write a good comment but I am a real customer who had the best amazing easiest auto loan financing experience with Southbay credit union. Sara help me through out the process and it was the greatest experience I have ever had to purchase my new vehicle. I switched here from Kinecta and couldn't be happier. The woman who is usually at the counter is super helpful and friendly, they always have quarters, and my son loves the hot chocolate machine. Definitely a good switch in credit unions for me and my needs.

So far my experiences been great. The customer service feeling is friendly and warm. The banking experience is also nice. Their Lomita branch identity has a really cool theme. And their ATM gives larger withdrawal limits and offers large denominations--I like $100's!
