BEWARE!!! I bought a car several years back which was financed with First City Credit Union. During the term of the loan I had fallen behind at one point. Be careful to never do this. If you ever have to talk to any of their staff that handles late payments, be prepared to become very agitated with their disrespectful attitude. They pissed me off so bad I pulled savings from an IRA and payed off the car so I didn't have to deal with this Bank ever again. They have no appreciation for their customers. I had a checking and savings account with them as well that I closed out immediately upon cutting my car loan ties to them. Not to mention that if you have money in any account with them, checking or savings, they will pull it to make your car payment if you haven't made it before the end of the month. I didn't even know this was legal.
One last thing that I think is unbelievably unprofessional, when I went into the Palmdale Branch to pay off my car, the lady taking my payment informed me that she had to call and get a approval to take a Wells Fargo check because I was over two weeks late. The gentleman that she talked to was the gentleman in collections who I had words with prior over his unprofessionalism. He refused my check but the branch took it regardless. I had several foul words for him over that. A couple months later I noticed an inquiry from first city on my credit report. I also noted a late payment on the account. The only late payment ever recorded on the account. This was a vindictive act on the part of that individual. There is no other explanation, due to the fact I never applied for anything to cause an inquiry. He did it to maliciously ding my credit. BEWARE!!!

I have been a First City Credit Union member for over 10 years, and I always have a welcoming experience from the extremely helpful manager Laura Jimenez and her super friendly staff. I had numerous loans with First City in the past and always think of First City when it is time for me to buy a new car. During my recent visit I had an incredibly positive experience with the manager, Laura, who took the time to explain everything to me. If you are looking for a bank that genuinely cares with impressive friendly staff, I proudly and incredibly happy to recommend First City Credit Union in Palmdale, you will never be disappointed. We have been with FCCU for 34 years, since 1989. We have known Laura Jimenez since then. She has been professional, very friendly, helpful, looks out for our best interest, makes financial recommendations, easy to talk to, attentive and other qualities we don't think are common with other bankers. Ms. Jimenez has provided that stability rather than having to deal with a new person every so often. The staff in the Palmdale Branch have also been very helpful, professional, friendly, etc. No request is frowned upon, like the request for a $2 bill which we know they don't always have. We feel part of the FCCU family than just a mere account number. Banking with FCCU has saved us a lot of money. Who doesn't want to save money? The interest rates on our loans have been very competitive. Constantly beating offers from other Credit Unions and banks. Even the big auto dealerships were unable to match the interest rates we've been offered by FCCU. We don't see moving our financial business elsewhere. Thank your for all these years of working with us. Thank you Laura and to all the Palmdale Branch staff. Keep up the excellent work!

We've always received top-notch service from FCU in Palmdale. We recently got another auto loan with FCU and the rates can't be beat, even by other CU. The process was easy from application to funding. The Branch Manager, Laura Jimenez, has always given us time to answer any questions or concerns we have no matter how busy her day is going. The staff at this branch has always been helpful, professional, friendly and has always safeguarded our security and provided for our banking needs. We have been members for 20+ years and we don't plan on going anywhere. Thank you Palmdale Branch.

Laura Jimenez have been an excellent branch manager in Lancaster and Palmdale. Horrible wait times, in branch and on the phone. Opened my account with them when I was a teenager, 12+ years later came to get a loan and they tried to give me a ridiculous interest rate, they only came down when my dad interjected and threatened to close all his accounts with them. Currently been standing in line for 15 min and no1 has come out to let us know whats happening. Palmdale branch has some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Will definitely be switching where I bank.

Great credit union. The people are very friendly and helpful. I liked the proximity and convenience of the former Palmdale and Lancaster locations, but I'm adjusting to this new location that merged both. I like that it's larger and parking is much easier here. I've been a member of First City Credit Union for over 45 years, and over the years it's only gotten better. Thanks for the great service.

The WORST bank. Every time you have to call you have to wait on hold for like 15 minutes.

Not to mention the outrageous overdraft fees. And the people on the phone say "well you need to keep track of your pending charges." Well you shouldn't take a week to report and finalize pending charges on my account! And some pending charges dont even show up! How am I supposed to keep track when their app is so unreliable? I shouldnt have to rely on hoping my math is correct down to the penny. I'll be shutting down my account as soon as possible and I wont be back.

I over drew my account for 2.00 they closed my account.I went back in and fixed my account manager told me that she can't give me a card with Visa logo, but she can give me a card only for atm until 90 days. I waited 4 months to go back for a regular card; only to be told I don't make enough transactions to receive a regular card with Visa logo. So come to find out that it was up to the manager to give me one, but who are you to tell me I don't make enough transactions. As long as I don't over draft again. So basically she wasted my time and didn't expect me to come back in. I believe every one gets a second chance but as for my self I'm not intitaled to one just wrong. Poor customer service and ways.
