No one likes paying insurance, but at least these guys work hard for the money. A few examples:

1. They worked with us up front to get the right mix of Auto, Home and Umbrella coverage. Getting homeowner's insurance here in wildfire country isn't easy.

2. They are proactive but not pushy about checking in annually for coverage adjustments and contract extensions... i like that. (It helps that Farmers has an easy-to-navigate website where you can always lookup and download policies, insurance cards etc, and that they give advance notice of when annual billings are coming)

3.. We had an unpleasant experience with an auto claims adjuster who seemed more focused on ducking our claim than paying it. Exasperated with the effort required to get a fair payment, we called our Farmers agent to give them feedback. They must have some pull because within hours the claims adjuster called back, apologized and quickly authorized our claim payment.

Nice to know an agent does more than sales... they've got your back. Check them out.

I have been with Farmers Insurance - Incline Village, Nevada for over 20 years. The original agent Warren Wyrick was great and then I was transferred to Michael Peyton.
1. No one answers the phone
2. High Rates! When you complain about the rates they give you a discount.
3. You are just a number to Michael Peyton.
4. The staff is always making excuses about getting the files or information.
5. The only time they care is when you mention you are looking at different firms.
6. Farmers finds ways of not paying a claim.
My story: ReMax Real Estate agent removed my personal property before the close of escrow.
1.Filed a police report
2.Filed Insurance claim
3.My security guard filed an incident report with footage of the agent removing the property.
4.Following day the agent attempted to return to the property and security denied her access.
5.The agent was told an incident report was submitted.
6.Agent sent me an email and copied the claim adjuster Ashley Dewitt stating she removed the property to help me.
7.I have sent several emails copying Ashley stating the agent removed the personal property without authorization.
8.Ashley said the agent is now willing to give back the property.
9.Agent is willing to give the property back because I filed a police report.
10. Numerous threatening emails from ReMax regarding my personal property and recovery.
11.Finally I told the ReMax broker and agent to meet me at Reno Police department at 455 E. Second Reno, NV.
12.The ReMax broker sent an email stating they are moving the property to Emigrant Storage and I have 30 days.
13.On Saturday, September 28, 2019 I drove from LA to Reno (rented a SUV) to retrieve my property.
14.I had to show my ID and sign documents at the storage facility.
15.Only a fraction of my personal property was at the facility.
16.September 30, 2019, contacted Michael Peyton's office and was told to contact the claims adjuster.
17.Contacted Ashley Dewitt and was told I needed a police report and I should contact the ReMax agent and broker again. Also, Ashley lied and said she spoke with the Reno PD and there was no case filed. I told I would send her another copy. Ashley is extremely RUDE!.
18.I sent the Reno PD report again today September 30, 2019.
19.Ashley said when she has time she will review it.
The Good News.....I changed insurance carriers.
