I had to drive out of my way to get my online password reset. The customer service line had me on hold for 15?minutes. The previous day the same thing happened so today I decided to go to the office. I was thinking the bank was close or the line was down. The reception tells me it’s because there are lots of calls coming in. I just sigh very frustrated. I see an empty lobby and three cashiers standing around. Hire more customer service reps to answer phone calls!! people go to the bank anymore…

If I could rate this 0 stars I would! I went in & had the worst experience ever! Lupe Torres is extremely rude! Don’t waste your time here! She doesn’t have any empathy & her tone of voice is not professional for someone in member service.

Just wanted to post my review on the VFCU HGN.branch. Called the Brownsville branch to speak to the Brownsville Branch manager in charge of both of these 2 branches came to know her name is Analise or Analisa had to speak to someone first tell him what occurred or what the complaint was about before it got to this manager. She never spoke to me or wanted to know of the complaint. She has a title so she should handle complaints rather than have a bank employee tell you that she wasnt in at the [ time ] really well we know how she plays her ROLE AS BRANCH OFFICER FOR BOTH BRANCHES... She should be the one hearing from the bank member rather hearing from her secretary first.
My Husband, myself, & daughter came into the bank. I wrote down my husband name on a clipboard that was on the desk to let the officer know what we needed to be seen for. Sitting there waiting to be seen another customer comes in and Sonya the loan officer knowing cause I told her we were next never walked up to the desk to see who was next looked up at the other loan officer by the name of Arianna ignoring what I had just said that we were next. Waited on Arianna response which tis lady was helping other customers at the moment made a hand movement telling Sonya to take the other customer ignoring us the whole time disrespecting our time. This was so uncalled for how they ignored us and the Rudeness of this loan officer Sonya her whole demeanor played out loud. Arianna even had the customers she was helping got them involved those customers made it obvious cause they were laughing as well and looking at us. I wasn't embarrassed just made it cleared to this loan officer Sonya how she ignored us and our time and us being next in line. Yes, I complained to the Hgn Branch officer Bonnie what played out and her response was this customer that went before you had appointment. My son had an appointment is also a credit union bank member to this branch he still had to wait for others that were sign up to be seen by these loan officers we surely know how tis played out today by these employees. Be more professional know ur titles and don't be involving other members on whats occurring or what's transpiring.. These ladies low class Levels played out UNPROFESSIONAL

Great credit union for all your banking needs without the big bank shuffle. Great friendly staff. Just recently they have gone out of there way to provide loans to me personally always attentive to your needs . I bank at other institutions and I never get the first class treatment at valley Federal credit Union . They really are people helping people .

They run your credit (HARD Inquiry) to open a checking account. Manager said it’s a soft pull (NOPE IT’S NOT) it shows up in the TransUnion hard inquiry. She said it warns you as you apply online (nope it does not) She read the notification to me, NONE of it explains that they will run your credit especially for a CHECKINGS ACCOUNT. NO ONE RUNS CREDIT FOR A CHECKINGS ACCOUNT!!! Literally EVERYONE KNOWS THAT!!! U run credit only for a Loan, credit card, home loan, anything for CREDIT NOT CHECKINGS!!! Then the manager said if I had applied in person they would have verified my identity and not run my credit. One thing has NOTHING to do with another. You don’t have to run credit to “verify” identity. Credit is financial status NOT personal identity wth is wrong with them?!?! They ran out of excuses fast, there is ZERO justifying running credit for a checking account. You don’t run credit for a CHECKINGS account!!!! Then in person, Patty got smug and said, well, WE do sir. (Fake smile)
Well you don’t ma’am because u don’t even know WHY you’re running credit for a CHECKINGS account!!! No need to be smug and proud for something that hurts (negative impact on credit file) people instead of helping them. Horrible place. No one is even friendly. Then all had a look like they hate their lives. Bank of America. Super friendly and helpful!!!

My first time going to that bank was a horrible experience the front desk lady was nice but when I walked in with the sales rep she didn't even present her self It looked like she was in a bad mood she wouldn't even acknowledge me the whole time I was in her office I've never had an experience at a bank like that very disappointing and unprofessional and I will certainly not be returning. What kind of place is that? Just go to Wells Fargo or Chase real banks, where they do appreciate customers and people.

If there was a negative 5 star i would rate that one. VFCU on price rd doesn’t even deserve my one star. I went to go sign up to speak to a representative and I waited 30 minutes! Only because I left was it 30 minutes! I was the only customer out on lobby, all the representatives offices had personnel but they were too busy cracking jokes visiting each other at their offices making fun about lobby waiters like me. I literally herd representatives laughing making fun cracking jokes about waiting! They acted so cocky prideful and rude passing right by me not even acknowledging I was there waiting on them. I obviously was not important to them at all. At Wells Fargo represenatives always go to the list and always call the next person and acknowledge me waiting in lobby and let me know someone will attend to me soon. I was the only one on the list at VFCU!! I think bankers and representatives didn’t want to work this day. Every one of them sitting behind their desk at office while some of them got out to crack jokes about waiting in front of my face! I couldn’t believe it was happening the least they could of done is tell me someone else would assist me soon! Oh and this rating is for the banker representatives not the lobby assistant or the tellers. The lobby assistant was very great at her job as well as the tellers they are always very helpful. The lobby assistant gets a 5 star, but these other idiots get a——5 star. I am a member there but a few hundred dollars left to pay on my loan w VFCU and I’m closing my Savings account w them forever. And to think that I was considering making them my primary bank is a joke now! I’m so glad I never made that decision. I will never have anything to do w that bank again. The last time I sat in that lobby previous to this complaint was a year back I seeked help w VFCU and I got help 15 minutes later but the complaint is that the representative judged me on some things instead of just doing her job to apply me to the loan I was interested on. She was very rude even my wife said she was bad. Like I said my wife and i were considering making this bank our primary but not no more. Now I’m closing anything I have w them so they can continue judging others and cracking jokes about people in necessity waiting in their lobby.
