This was a simple transaction that was completed successfully. I was requesting a reversal of a 5 dollar fee and it was reversed. However, afterwards conversation with the branch manager ensued about some suggestions and observations I had about the branch. All that was needed was a head nod and "thanks for your feedback I'll pass it along" But rather the manager took an "attitude" and felt the need to rebut or dismiss my feedback. LOL why would you do that? Did you want me to take my money out of the credit union? Then after realizing that I wasn't an idiot and with the customers waiting, she finally said, "you don't need to explain yourself" LOL obviously I did because the manager did not understand. I left feeling not so happy with the transaction. Look in general the 1st United personnel are always less than professional, which is ok. It's a credit union and the rates are sometimes better. I come in deposit money get a loan etc. Sometimes, there's an issue WITH YOUR SYSTEM, no problem, you made a mistake, credit back the fees and learn from it and move on. Don't sit there and tell me that mistakes happen and I should prepare for them. That I should make a record on paper of my transactions etc. In short, the transaction would have been great if the teller/manager didn't decide to "have a conversation" with me.

I have had all of my questions answered promptly on the phone app during business hours. No problems with deposits or withdrawals for years. There are always helpful employees available when I stop in. After prior nightmares of lost $, deceits and disinformation from BofA and Bank of Marin, I finally found the smaller institution with the customer service I'd hoped for, but never received, from Bank of Marin.

The bank service was quite disappointing. The representatives seemed to have a bit of a rough attitude. When I tried to cash change, they weren't very friendly. Just wanted to share my experience as a member.

The phone service is deplorable. And I still don’t have access to funds deposited! Deposited checks Wednesday - as of Saturday they are still holding them. My account balance has fluctuated without explanation, one time showing I was overdraft! I was left stranded with no money and resorted to having to have a friend cashapp me funds so I could buy food!!!! What is going on over there? I’ll be finding a new place to bank ASAP.

Paid off my credit card only to find out they had revoked the limit without notifying me. When I complained they closed the account altogether. Also I never received any electronic statements from them.

This bank is Predatory and for profit. I have been a customer for 20 years. Steadily employed full-time with my direct deposit to my checking account. In spite of having a college degree and full time job I am poor. I have had a checking, savings, car loan and credit card with them over the years. Referred friends and family who have opened accounts. I have paid them 10k in overdraft fees over the last year. Yes you read that right I have lost ten thousand dollars in overdraft fees during the most difficult time of my life (moved multiple times, left relationship, medical issues etc). Fine. I accept that. But this also restricted online access so I can no longer view or pay my open and active credit card bill online. Of course I receive no courtesy electronic reminders about the credit card due date or payment amount.

Are their actions legal? YES. Ethical? NO. This bank is not a community partner. THEY DO NOT CARE about "members". Hope they are eating well off of my $10,000.

New job new bank account paid them off but still hate them. Customer service is also snooty and unhelpful

This is not based on any particular branch but the business as a whole is an awful institution. Do not bank here. They do not put customers first. You will have unauthorized transactions by them. You will wait arbitrary amounts of time for access to your money while being charged excessive fees. There are much better options for banking available.

The employees are great, the services suspect. I received an ad to attend a sale and buy a car at 1.99% interest. I purchased the vehicle for $19,000 and requested financing or $10,000 and was turned down. I offered to secure the loan with my personal cash (at the increased rate of 2.99%) and was turned down for the auto loan but had to pay 4.04% while borrowing my own money. I have 12 credit cards with over $50,000 limit and less than $500 balance. Excellent credit rating but was turned down by 1st United for a card. I deposited $400 cash in the ATM and 1st United did not post and took 4 days to find my cash. They have moved to more machine interactions and less people. I prefer people over machines that take jobs and cannot respond to problems. It is the customer oriented people employed who have prevented me from transferring elsewhere. (I have opened accounts elsewhere where I am treated like a good customer by having tellers, approved credit cards, give me veteran rewards and approve my loans). This must be the consequences of being an old fashioned senior citizen.

I opened an account here when they first opened and have regretted it ever since. I have moved my funds to another credit union as well as opened an account with Charles Schwab. If you want to be treated poorly and have your time and money completely disregarded this is your place! The worst customer service I’ve ever encountered with a credit union.

What a joke...It’s ironic and comical that they can reply to a bad review publicly yet ignore several emails I have sent. No one ever has an answer or does there job here. I cannot wait to close my account here...Stay away folks! Literally anywhere else will treat you and your money better.
