We bought our home from Davenport Realty over 5 years ago. This year, they listed our home for us and in 2 days had 3 offers and a signed contract in less than a week. It closed Dec. 21st. We've used Davenport once as buyers and once as sellers, both land deals. As buyers , we had no issues, but we found the land ourselves and they happened to be the listing agent, so there wasn't much to do other than closing. We decided to go with Davenport again when we were selling our own land based on the good reviews. The agent was friendly, but communication was very lacking and, if anything above and beyond the basic MLS listing was done to help sell my property, I never knew about it. Our land was on the market for 6 months with little interest and little feedback. When I'd ask occasionally whether there'd been any interest, I'd get, "we've had a couple of lookers", but that was pretty much it. It would often take 2 or 3 days to get replies when I did reach out and rarely heard from them otherwise. At one point, I texted a couple of updated springtime photos since the listing photos were wintertime and not the prettiest representation of the property, but never got a reply. After 6 months on the market, we switched realtors to someone who focuses more on land and had multiple lookers and 2 full price offers within 2 weeks.

When we were canceling our listing agreement with Davenport, I emailed my agent first as a heads up, "thanks anyway", and some rationale as to why we wanted to cancel.. Trying to part ways on friendly terms, but got no reply. When we sent a certified letter to the office, there was no further communication from anyone at Davenport... no "is there anything we can do?", "sorry you're not satisfied", or even a confirmation of our cancelled agreement. They just pulled the MLS and that was that. They obviously were not too concerned about losing a customer. I had to then call a few weeks later asking about the key to our building on the property as we never got any communication as to how I'd get it back.

I hate to give 2 stars as our agent with Davenport was a very nice individual, but then again I don't want anyone else to waste 6 months just because someone is nice. It may be different selling a house or something that is more likely to sell itself, but for land, I'd go with a realtor with a land focus.

I cannot recommend Cody Burrow enough! He helped us find our dream property and truly looked out for us throughout the entire process.
